I've had depositions where the attorneys asked to have a section read back, and the CR was only recording it and had to take 10 or more minutes rewinding and trying to find the spot the attorney wants. And then the recording isn't very good. Needless to say, the attorney is not a happy camper when this happens. A lot of times, this is the first time they found out the CR was only recording it.
