the court reporter didn't know what was said. I'm not sure that attorneys realize that the court reporter isn't the one actually taking down the record and it's a typist putting that all together for them. Of course, a court reporter isn't going to admit that they didn't take down the record. It's just like with medical transcription, you have some that do an excellent job and others who just never get it. I'm sure it's all the same and you're going to be lucky to find a good company.
