Nuance incentive/bonus pay a joke? - buy out victim

I know it was just asked how they figure out their bonus, but I am concerned because I found recent posts that say the lines are "weighted", and their own ad says "quality based" incentive program. Another poster alluded to comma nuts that QA you to death so that you end up with little to no available lines for incentive. Is there anyone out there who has had a recent experience with this who could enlighten those of us who have been sold out? What I am concerned about is that it sounds like you can produce enough but there are some other obstacles they put in front of us that make it possible for them to remove the bonus lines we have earned. Just guessing but first off weighted lines does this change from time to time, QA having authority to remove lines, and bonus only paid quarterly what is that about?

The incentive/bonus is not a joke. I received a nice bonus the first time around and expect an even better one next time.

SUPPOSEDLY, jobs sent to QA due to client issues (i.e., missing date of admit or discharge in header, which we weren't allowed to input) are excluded from your QA percentage, but that doesn't happen. There is no way I sent 1 out of every 5 jobs to legitimate QA for real blanks, etc. Virtually EVERY discharge summary from my primary account had missing dates of service in the header. Easy to do the math on this one and see I got robbed.

Okay they count things in the QA percentage that they say they don't, but someone else mentioned having to get things reversed. Did you ask them to reverse these? The other thing is, does the incentive come with each pay period or is it quarterly? IF you can qualify for incentive when do you get it?

I received 200% of the 100% that was required for the incentive. (double) I received $200 and my pay checks are still below minimum wage. What does that tell you.

below minimum wage? Or you an employee or an IC? If you are an employee they have to make up for the difference in your line rate so that you are at least making minimum wage.

I kept record of jobs that were legitimate QA (unclear dictation, etc.), and they never removed them from my QA stats.

yes they make up the difference so Im making minimum wage for my state (like minimum wage is enough) so that it is legal, I guess, which means I am working for less than minimum wage. If your job really is correct you have to ask your supervisor in writing and it should be reversed if you are right. Which is all unpaid work, checking the QA, requesting in writing, requesting again, and again until you get an answer.

For one thing, much time spent unpaid reading through the feedback only to find QA making mistakes which I have to dispute...more unpaid time sending e-mails back and forth. They say they don't count reports sent due to missing demos, etc...not true! QA is inconsistent. If you have a heavy ESL account, bad audio, etc. doesn't matter, you get penalized for it. A total joke! Granted, I still got the bonus, but of course they taxed it in a way that cut it in half...which they didn't have to do. Could have included it in the regular check. Always ripping us off! So sick of their greed!

I can't seem to get a clear answer about this. So, the incentive, I know it's if you've got less than 10% going to QC, have a qualifying QA score, and starts with 7001 lines for the week, but how is it paid out. Do you get the extra $0.0025 on lines 7001-8000, then $0.005 on lines 8000-9000? So, if I had 8500 lines. Assuming I was at 4 CPL for edit, (assuming it's all edit) at base rate I'd get $340. I don't understand the incentive and bonus. Aren't there two different things? That is, a weekly incentive which certain requirements to meet for a little extra pay, and a quartery (3-month) bonus which other certain requirement for a little more extra pay? ...

I know there was a training video regarding what the incentive as well as bonus qualifications at Nuance, but I never understood it. Some of you seem to be complaining of Nuance using underhanded tactics to avoid rewarding any bonus or incentive, which is probably a major reason why you complain of being "mistreated." I have been with Nuance for 4-1/2 months. This is my first experience with VR but I have 25+ years experience as a MT. I have always had QAs 98% and up. Anybody heard anything solid, or not so solid, about this? I can't seem to get any information on a date for disbursement. And now that the DSP and nDSP were messed up on the last pay period (resulting in erroneous QC Percent scores), I'm afraid it's going to be delayed even more while that gets corrected/ironed out through another pay period. Maybe somebody else's team lead is a little more in the know or more communicative about what's going on? ...

While other people I know are receiving bonuses during this holiday season, I received yet another pay cut and unpaid vacations from my employer. I now earn yet again significantly less and quite frankly can do better collecting unemployment. Does anyone know when this might be paid? Coming from Transcend, we were "grandfathered" in at 99% and supposed to get 10% for the first quarter. Does it include all money earned including the bonus we get if we have over 12,501 lines or just our measly base rate? I guess this is my one and only bonus here. Appreciate your help. ...

For a while they were advertising for help hot and heavy with big sign on bonuses. Now, no big help wanted ads and work is slim on many of our accounts. I guess not enough people have quit and they are overstaffed (surprise surprise). For years a good deal of MTSO's including Webmedx had in place bonus or incentive plans based on production ONLY. Such a plan most likely helped Webmedx win "employer of the year" for years.
