I have always been suspicious that somebody, perhaps the leads, cherry pick... they have access and visibility of the queues. while we do not. There are at least 3 or 4 part time leads...and sometimes the work is nothing but crapola. I feel like I'm picking up crumbs while a few others are having a burger (never gourmet in this cesspool, though, for anyone, even the cherry pickers). If it's not the leads, then why don't and can't they catch the cherry pickers - it would be easy enough to find out who they are.... one of the many many perks of working for TT/IMDEX. I'm just waiting to get laid off...going play chicken...I want the Unemployment. They can't shake me out of my tree yet no matter how bad things get. At least that is how I feel today. Tomorrow I could snap.
Mine did when I worked for them and whenever - they were working

all the good dictators were gone and only crap for me. When the supervisors were off picking up the kids or having a day off, voila! great dictators for me. Then once they returned - nothing for me. I think 3 months of this pattern was enough proof for me and not just coincidence. I had one new-ish supervisor ask me who the "good" dictators were so she could route some more to me. I made a list for her (stupid me) and that is when I got absolutely none of them when she was on board. So, yes, they do cherry pick.
The heck they do! - I know for a fact that the leads do typing

...when there is no one working. I work on an account that isn't escription and I am forever getting old jobs returned to the Q the minute I've signed on to work. It's the leads sending them back. I've even had one of them email me for help with a particular doctor.
I don't know about managers like DG, but I do know the leads type when there is too much work and/or not enough MTs to do the work.
Complete and utter BS...back up your "facts". - nm

My supervisor "accidentally" sent an email not meant for the MTs... and it listed everyone who typed on what account and how much they produced. And right there on that list was another lead's name and how much she had typed in that pay period. It was right up there with what the other full-time MTs produce.
But to prove my point further, I was also a lead, a QA supervisor, and a trainer - all hourly-paid positions. This was for several companies over the last 25 years - and for every one of those jobs, I was required to step in and type reports just like every MT in our company. It was a requirement that when your certain hourly or salaried position was out of work - you HAD to type.
Proof enuff for ya?

Can you elaborate for those of us who did not receive the email? Thought I was finally receiving all the emails, but apparently not. Thank you!

Because taking away internet reimbursement, no raises ever, no more company provided computers, increasing health care costs, adding an extra half hour daily to work via the "new" time clock, and forcing everyone in the company to go on vacation at the same time in December or lose it, and stealing your life via "flexing" isn't bad enough? It is bad enough for me and today, ladies, after months and months of applying for jobs to get out of this cess pool, I was offered a new job!!!! I start the first week of March. Whoo hoo!!!!! Yay me!!!
Congratulations. Glad you started before the ship went down. - :))
Me too! - Starting a new job that IS NOT in this field

I cannot simply wait for them to lay me off or wait for unemployment to kick in. I can't go even one week without a paycheck, not with the children I have to support and bills to pay, so after a year - YES A YEAR - of searching for the right opportunity to get out of this business, I took it today - and I start in two weeks!
Yea for us, but I feel sorry for everyone else who has bills to pay right now and can't find another job yet. I certainly wasn't in a position to just quit without having something else lined up, and I fear that's the situation for most of us here who have been sticking it out.
Who sent the email - I did not get it either

I am guessing this is coming through the account managers and my manager is already off for the day so she didn't send it yet?
Probably. For those of us on the low paying acct (sm) - yes

it doesn't even matter. That's what we always get and what we always get shorted compared to the rest of you guys everyday.

I haven't gotten any email of any kind saying anything about accounts going away or any recent loss of benefits. My acct mgr has gotten her email end straightened out & is pretty good about sending whatever notices we need. Will see what happens with this "news" soon enough.

off a sinking ship. I worked 12 hours yesterday, WAITING for work. Off and on, didn't make anything. I sent an email yesterday to my big boss and she never responded. This has all the ear marks of a buy-out. I am out of here. And I WILL NOT do transcription again.EVER, NEVER. Good luck to those who stay.
I can't even count the amount of hours - ...that I have sat here waiting for work.

I'm also starting a new job in two weeks. God, wouldn't you just love it if EVERYONE quit... just walked out and filed one big lawsuit over labor issues? I mean, it could be done, but I know people have bills to pay, even if it means sitting at their PC 16 hours a day and only working 5 hours of that time.

No more hanging in there. It's a done deal. No bosses returning emails. I have been through buy-out after buy-out and guess what this is? If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, IT'S A DUCK!
I can't seem to get a clear answer about this. So, the incentive, I know it's if you've got less than 10% going to QC, have a qualifying QA score, and starts with 7001 lines for the week, but how is it paid out. Do you get the extra $0.0025 on lines 7001-8000, then $0.005 on lines 8000-9000?
So, if I had 8500 lines. Assuming I was at 4 CPL for edit, (assuming it's all edit) at base rate I'd get $340. I would qualify for the bonus/incentive ...
I don't understand the incentive and bonus. Aren't there two different things? That is, a weekly incentive which certain requirements to meet for a little extra pay, and a quartery (3-month) bonus which other certain requirement for a little more extra pay? ...
I know there was a training video regarding what the incentive as well as bonus qualifications at Nuance, but I never understood it. Some of you seem to be complaining of Nuance using underhanded tactics to avoid rewarding any bonus or incentive, which is probably a major reason why you complain of being "mistreated." (I, on the other hand, don't feel mistreated by Nuance per se, except for the ridiculous monetary compensation). But I have never sought out the bonus nor incentive, basica ...
I know it was just asked how they figure out their bonus, but I am concerned because I found recent posts that say the lines are "weighted", and their own ad says "quality based" incentive program. Another poster alluded to comma nuts that QA you to death so that you end up with little to no available lines for incentive. Is there anyone out there who has had a recent experience with this who could enlighten those of us who have been sold out? What I am concerned about is that it sounds like you ...
I have been with Nuance for 4-1/2 months. This is my first experience with VR but I have 25+ years experience as a MT. I have always had QAs 98% and up. Whatever that QT thing is, my scores are horrible. Yes, now and then I have a report that blows. The majority of my work I have no problem with dictators, etc. WTH is going on? Someone please explain this to me plus who here really gets incentive bonus? ...
Has anyone out there ever typed 15,000 lines in a week and if so, what is the weekly bonus amount? Not talking about the line pay per week, the weekly bonus pay. Thanks for any help. ...
Does anyone from iMedX know whether HR made a decision as to whether we would be paid for our bonus lines for the past pay period since they switched over to the new timesheet system? ...
The e-mail I got said it has been reduced to 2 cents above your line rate. Bonus before was set at line rate and 1/2, which I thought they did because it would be the equivalent to "time and a half," which is, I believe, the law when you are working beyond 40 hours in a week. If you are working bonus, which is usually the case, above your 40 hours, is it legal for them not to pay the equivalent of time and a half? ...
If I can not make my line count during the week, I will not make the mistake EVER again of signing on over the weekend and not be eligible for bonus. ...
Where are you putting them so that when payday rolls around, you will have a count? I know bonus was offered last night on a few accounts. I didn't do any of them, but in case it comes up today again, I was wondering where you are submitting them. Thanks ...
I don't think many with experience would accept .02 CPL. I would imaging this forces MTSOs to train newbies. I'm sure they have to pay QA far more than .04 CPL to correct and go over the work. Even if they did pay QA only .04 CPL to do this, they are paying at least .06 CPL total. By the time the new editor is sufficiently trained to go off 100% QA they have had more than enough time to realize that they will never make a living doing this kind of work, the lies ...
I have handed in my resignation effective immediately. I am so tired of hearing these foreign doctors, failing my audits and working every darn weekend. I have had enough. No, I don't have a job but I am hopeful and I will be getting my husband's SS soon. I just can't take this BS anymore.

Hi everyone! Last month, I posted on here that I resigned effective immediately. I had had enough of the crappy ESL doctors, the audits, the poor VR, etc., etc. I just want everyone to know there is hope. I found out today that I will be getting my husband's SS with a lump sum at the end of this month and monthly payments starting in August. The payments may be more than what I originally thought. I have also put out about 40 resumes and have only gotten one bite. that one bite is a ...

Last week we were told by Op Mgr that "she has a call into the client about why volume is so low."
Yesterday, we got a "yippee" from "her" about having a coupla hundred jobs ready.
This morning, we got an email saying, "we need to make sure you have backup accounts now."

No one on this board seems to give specifics when they get canned from IMEDX. So my question is this: Can each person who got laid off/fired let us know more details. Were you PT or full time, did they call or did they email, did you have options, or just firing. How many lines did you do per day. Some of us may not be in your situation and you may have been just an employee that was not worth IMEDX's time and they got rid of you while they may keep all the others, or full timers. Details p ...
Whenever we are asked to help, there is no incentive offered. I never thought of it at all, until I started reading some random posts below about getting incentive. Hmmm I always let them know I am happy to help, was that dumb of me to say that? Did I screw myself out of ever getting an incentive? or maybe not all companies offer it to begin with. oh well. ...

The way it looks to me, they give me a target to hit over 4 days, which (I don't need the particulars of how they arrived at it, but I get them anyway) pretty much reflects my daily average. Okay so now I work all day today, tomorrow, Sunday and Monday, making my average each day and THEN, at the end of Monday, if I'm able to get in another 100 lines, I will get 3 cents for those 100 lines??? So I work all day on my two days off for 3 dollars? Have I got that straight ...
Ok guys having a brain fart......I know it is incentive weekend or whatever, but does that mean they want you JUST to work your regular hours or are you to do OT if at all possible. ...
Just like they did last year and I think the year before that. They will have pretty much an incentive every week to get the backlog all pristine, whether or not there is a lot of work. Because of this, if you participate in trying to reach this incentive, your goal each time will be higher and higher, to the point of unreachable. Dirty tricks. ...
