I know a couple of supervisors who don't do it and don't like it, but they can't do anything about it. Beyond that nobody gives a damn. They have their little "mean girls" clique, we can easily be easily replaced by other desperate MTs, and why should they care as long as somebody cranks out the work? Employee loyalty means nothing, if you can stand to stay 5 years you get $25 and a pat on the back, at 10 years you get to request (no guarantees) 2 weeks vacation in the "busy" summer months (lately we have alternated between running out of work and premature calls for mandatory OT). Again, they simply do not care.
