transcriptionist that has been around before voice recognition, you are left trying to hire people who only know how to do editing... which is fine if your editing software works well. Ours doesn't always... then you are left with an editor who has no understanding of the words she is hearing, whether they fit into the sentence, whether the lab value is within a reasonable range, etc. It's a very bad situation as far as hiring a new employee goes and that's not going to get any better, as the older more seasoned transcriptionists retire.
