Google his full name and you'll find how much he makes, salary, bonuses, stocks, etc. Incredible. I am all for capitalism but this goes beyond that. It is pure greed. The disparity is overwhelming. Ironic that he sends work to non-capitalist countries. MM is like the plot in Animal Farm. Hey Vern, what if the "little people" were to revolt? Who would be the pig?

can that be? They cant pay less than minimum. I have talked to some who have been nominated and they have said nothing about pay decrease. Just some pot stirring going on here.

Not due to her receiving the employee of the month, just due to ASR and when they made standardized pay for the tiers. These things resulted in pay decreases, so what she is saying is true.

I doubt she meant that after receiving the award, they lowered her pay.
Only poster knows what was meant. If the explanation - was that simple, why not post

Been nominated 3 times (in the past) and what do ya get?? PAY DECREASES! YOU KNOW IT TOO! After all, MQ/MM sent out a letter stating all employees grandfathered in will have a pay decrease which mine was 3 cents!

Did you forget about that letter? Or are you a newbie and do not have a clue about this company. So technically, YES you get lower pay if a nominated MT. Pay decrease might not happen in an instant, but it sure will down the road because in reality, the company does not care about you and will forget about you. Oh wait, it sounds like our government.

I started out making 11.60 an hour 26 years ago as a medical transcriptionist with an AA degree in medical transcription/medical secretary and I was MT of the month 3 times and had 3 pay raises in 18 years. I was averaging around 22.00 an hour and went through 5 merges/buyouts. Around 2003 everything went downhill. The biggest was when we received a letter stating we were GRANDFATHERED in and had to take a huge paycut.

Now I am making minimum wage, less than when I started working as an MT.

So yes!!!!! Being a CMT for years and being MT of the month MEANS NOTHING! Just pay decreases (for my generation).

If you are all currently new at this for the last 7 years, my advice is to get the heck out of this sweat job. I will be finished with college in a month. Having this job is GREAT for going back to college.
What? Leave MT and all these warm fuzzy feelings - shared with fellow MTs?

I was hired full-time by a small company 3 months ago, offered 15.00 hr, just recently demoted because of a complaint of quality (which was very questionable), told they would pay me 5 cpl (woohoo) for production.  Now they are not supplying me with any work, let alone full-time work!  Dont they have an obligation to fire me, lay me off or supply me with work?  How can they do this?  I cant get unemployment if I'm employed, but my employer isnt supplying me with any work ...

I'm surprised I haven't received performance management yet. I just cannot keep my line count up high enough since going to Fluency 7.6. This is too frustrating. Maybe I should copy a job into Word and see if the line count matches. Although, it could be because the ASR output has been so horrible and I am stopping 3x more to make corrections. What's your favorite keyboard to use to transcribe?  My recent experiment, a multimedia Apevia, which by the way is a piece of junk!  But it was blue and pretty, so I bought it.  I am always trying to find a better keyboard, but none beat my Saitek!  Big letters, spacious keyboard (I have a bit of a wide hand), and lots of fun stuff like background lighting.  Oh, and my company blocks all install (.exe) so my work computer didn't even recognize it........NEXT ...

Nobody has ever asked about the speed before, and I've never had any problems.
