Okay. I think it's high time that MTs somehow band together and put a stop to the degradation.

We are college-educated professionals. Should we Really be working for less than minimum wage? There are laws that protect people from the slave labor that this has become. They force us into IC positions where we make under minimum wage so they can avoid the laws, and we have No benefits whatsoever...after we pay our own taxes we are making Half of minimum wage... and we Sure don't make enough to save anything for retirement. What will become of us?

That is No way to be treated and as long as we Let them do it to us, they will Keep doing it. Respect yourself, demand respect. They Need us, and that's a fact. Imagine all the incorrect diagnoses, malpractice suits, and even deaths if they stop using a live person to make sure these Very important documents are completely accurate. They need to recognize us for what we are - we are Important players in the medical field.
