At 44 years old, I still need to work at least 10 more years, probably 15, and it won't be as an MT and I do not want to work at Wal-Mart or the local grocery store. I need some benefits at my age. I start on my associates this fall with some lab tech classes. I hope I can stay in this field 2 more years part time without getting my pay scale docked AGAIN. Soon these companies will run out of experienced MTs. Let the docs and providers type their own stuff up. Have fun with carpal tunnel guys! All that school to sit in front of a computer half of the day (the MDs and PAs)..I just cannot believe they would agree to do that.
