I am very familiar with the factors the IRS uses in its determination as to who is employee and who is a contractor, but the specifics of wage and hour issues such as minimum wage are not specifically addressed within those parameters. You might want to call the IRS to ask that specific question; and if you feel you have been treated as an employee instead of a contractor, I urge you to file an SS-8 form.
