Not believable - k

YOU are the one who is FULL OF RUBBISH!! Posts like this are why we say this must be management trolling sites like this & making rubbish comments. You obviously do not do the work we do, you are routed all the gravy work, you work under better management or you work for a better company!

A lot of us who work at home chose that so we could have some flexibility, but there are many others who need/have to work at home. Just because we want/need flexibility doesn't mean we are taking of advantage of the company. If we are supposed to get X amount of lines done within our shift & we get them done, it shouldn't matter if it took us X hours or XX hours, especially when we don't get paid by the hour. It definitely shouldn't matter if we clock out whenever we go walk the dogs, walk to the mailbox, drive to the local convenience store for something, have to pick our kids up from school or whatever we do. If we were paid by the hour & we did all those things while still on the clock, then that's a different story. If you are really an MT/ME, you know that the quantity of work is regulated by the dictators, type of reports, sound quality, length of dictation, complexity of account directions & work availability.

How dare you say we are taking advantage of the company when it's them taking advantage of us. Rounding out our clock-in times, but not the clock-out times; lowering our pay rate because editing is so much easier (BS - unless it's clear, concise, LONG, wonderful sound quality) & expecting us to be typing/editing every single second of our shift are just a few examples of how we are being taken advantage of. We should all go get prescriptions for DVT and have catheters put in & then charge the company for those costs!

I, for one, could get a hell-o of a lot more done if I sped through reports & didn't waste so much time trying to figure out &/or make sense of what is being said, trying to find medications/instruments/diseases or conditions/procedures/doctors/ facilities, etc. I try extremely hard to make sure my reports are accurate & now I'm taking advantage of the company?

That is what is rubbish, along with you!
