In reponse to your statement: "In the office you would never leave to go home and walk your dog". We are not talking about working in an office and leaving to drive home, lol, we are talking about using our break time to walk out the front door, which in-house allows you to do. I am an IC working at home. ICs can have flexibility in their schedules. The paranoia that creates micromanagement is very damaging to the company. They already measure our production in the line counts. These inactive alarms, Yahoo messages, requirement to email the supervisor to advise them why we have had our fingers off the keyboard or foot pedal for so many seconds are totally unnecessary and I consider harassment.
