Feeling beaten down and about to be terminated. - Lost MT

Is there any way to get unemployment out of this company? I am not meeting my lines per hour on ebtxt and don't know what to do. Apparently my hours did not match on Webclock and the system last week. We are getting emails every week stating make sure you check this or that including do ctr + alt + I to check the print, which will only do it for 1 page, so then we have to do it for each page. Also, check 3 pages in the AI sheet for each job, etc. I feel like I could take all the classes, 10 or more, and it would not help. I can't afford to lose this job. I have been doing MT for 14 years now. I never thought I would end up like this. Thank you all for listening to me. I feel like I am not making much sense anymore and have been driven crazy. Thanks again for being here and for this website!

I was fired 2 years ago from a company I worked 13 years for. I collected UE for 2 months, but then figured I had better find a job so I took one at Nuance. I wish I'd get fired from here. I still have $7000 in UE benefits so I'd take a nice long vacation and find something other than MT work.

I got a "verbal" warning a few weeks ago and they gave me 4 days to get my line count up, which I did for a few weeks but last week was a horrible week and I didn't even come close to line count. They told me I was NEVER allowed to go below line count again in the verbal warning.

So I am now wondering if I will get a "written" warning or just get fired.

a while back I asked my TL if there were any accounts with straight typing I could go to and she said there weren't. I was also told that ALL of the account have background noise with doctors eating candy etc.

always be the occasional doc that eats, cough, mumbles, sniffs, speed talks etc. There really is no getting away from that, every account has one. Same with ESLs. Just hang in there, but in the meantime I would start looking elsewhere.

I took a job with Nuance with 6 years of experience and am worried about getting let go too. I have had no warning yet but am expecting it anytime. I think either several people quit on my account or got fired, because all of a sudden we are soooo behind and were just told 4 people were hired. I would love to hear from people who have no problems making their line count, etc. I am beginning to think I am just not that good at this job if there are others who can do it with no problem :(

But do they really think throwing us on multiple accounts constantly is going to help quality? What IS their motivation for this? It's just stupid. Well, it looks like Nuance is starting to get what they want....giving out walking papers because of their "patient safety" bullshit.
