Well I'm the one that got terminated last week. I just got an e-mail I probably was not suppose to get. But the account I had been on for 3 weeks is now going to voice recognition in 2 weeks. I just wonder if they did not get rid of me to hire someone for pennies to work for them. Sounds Fish to me. I wonder if anyone else got terminated.

[ In Reply To ..]No it is not something else! Keystrokes is hiring all the time because they have been firing people over the smallest things. They have very poor attitudes - nasty QAs and acct managers. I don't know about all of the management, but one particular account the management was incredibly rude. Read the current posts. There are several with the same impression and complaints. In this case, there were no write ups, just one day you're not working out. Expected ESL ability to just jump in an "hit the ground running". A lot of ESLs take some time to get used to each doctor's habits and pronounciation.

In my opinion, and this is strictly my freedom of speech talking here, I sincerely think Keystrokes should be ashamed of themselves for the way they have treated some of their MTs, but it is not just them. This is becoming an industry norm. It is so discouraging to begin with a new company anymore. If you don't have the constant fear of having a miserable management team, you have to contend with the incredibly poor pay and the expectations of very high skills working for peanuts. It is a sad state for the healthcare industry and I seriously worry about the care patient's are getting with regard to their records under the current state of the industry. Somehow MTs went from appreciated employees to truly being treated like dirt!

By the way, I have always felt the axe was coming soon (other MT's at KS feel the same). It is said, don't rock the boat, keep your mouth shut, then maybe you won't get fired.

[ In Reply To ..]I average 350 lines per hour on a very tough Meditech account. There is no cherry picking, you call in and get whatever job comes up next. I have a lot of templates and shortcuts that I have made on this account and I can generally fly.
I am so sick of people assuming that just because they are slow or don't have a good account or don't make any money that everyone in every company is the same, or if we do good, we must cherry pick or be managers, etc.
I work hard, have great quality, and I'm paid well for it. I'm sorry that's not the case for everyone, but it sure as heck doesn't make me a liar!

I would rather type a report and get paid more money than taking the amount of time it takes to correct with VR and make much less money. I did not say anything regarding lines.

Well, it looks like Nuance is starting to get what they want....giving out walking papers because of their "patient safety" bullshit.
