Enterprise users query about - disappearing red box

Fellow Enterprise platform users, have you ever lost the red box around the text and wondered why? Once it is gone you can no longer move about the report with ease, the facility to go to a particular place by Alt-R or double click no longer works.

If anyone has figured out why this happens - i.e., have I inadvertently hit a combination of keystrokes that caused this, have I deleted some bit of ISR that was crucial to the red text box? Very confusing and when you are in a 10 minute long report and this happens at the very beginning, very frustrating.

If anyone has figured this one out, I would be grateful for your help to make the box come back and/or avoid whatever it is I'm doing to make it disappear.

Is to put the job in temp, close Enterprise, reopen Enterprise and the red box should be functioning again.

It is a huge waste of production time.

So annoying. I have thought about asking tech support, but I just want an answer and NOT a session where they take over your computer, also I feel when it comes to the MT side of things they are willfully ignorant about what makes our jobs easier, mainly for the same reason everyone else at Nuance besides us MTs are - it does not seem to matter, only the bottom line.

I turned mine off completely and am happier without it.

When I want to go back in the document and just do Alt+R or double click rather than having to hit, miss, guess where it might be, that is a big timesaver.

Another big annoyance is when the stupid ISR does an entire paragraph in all caps (usually a para around the ALLERGIES, which are supposed to be in caps, but then it does the entire PE or ROS in all caps).

If you undo all caps and change to all lower case you need to go through and capitalize the first letter of each sentence or meds, if you try to do it piecemeal also a huge timewaster. Also, once in the proper case the facility to move through that particular portion of the report is gone for some reason.

How did you turn off the red box BTW? And is that for all reports or do you have to do it each time?

If you are talking about the highlighter, Cntrl 5 should toggle it on and off within a report. Cntrl H will give you a list of shortcuts you can use in Enterprise.

Yeah, I guess that is a highlighter - but Ctrl 5 for me does not do anything

I was told by a tech person (when asking if they could get my Ctrl+1 to work again so I could go back to the beginning) that it does not work anymore with Enterprise, so I assume Ctrl+5 is the same. It could be my keyboard too, I guess. One of these days I might have time to figure that out.

I just tried Ctrl+5 in a report to see if it would toggle on or off and nope, nothing. I wonder what else I might be doing that makes it disappear. Gah.

As far as I can tell we have our TSM and other TSM substitute on her days off. After she signs off in the afternoon we don't have anyone until next morning. Could someone help me understand how time is accumulated in Enterprise. I clock into Webclock and then log into Enterprise. Work my shift. I can see the hours in Enterprise, let's say for the week 40 hours. Then I log into Webclock and punch out and can see the hours there, let's say 39.50. I am trying to open Enterprise this morning and the screen is small - only takes up about half of my monitor - anybody have this problem before and how to solve it? I rebooted and that didn't help. Everything in Enterprise is very tiny - all other software/Google, etc. opens normally, so it is just the Enterprise platform that is acting funny. I have a continuous problem with ExText and I cannot find a solution anywhere. I'm using it with Word 2003 professional version. All my Word settings match up the instructions I received from both the company I work for and Nuance. Since switching to Native EP, my lines per hour have been running around 130. One day I decided to really apply myself to see how much better I could do, so I focused, did not give in to distractions, was fortunate to get decent dictators, had about 50/50 ISR and straight, and still only achieved barely 160. I started with a company using BayScribe. I have a rather unusual problem. The BayScribe expander will not function in the document. I can bring it up via Control F3 and can add entries, but they will not expand. When my machine is entered remotely, that user IS able to expand, but within the same session, I still cannot expand.
