Spellcheck on Enterprise 5 - all smiles

Hello,

Been round and round on this for many years. To date, I have had 4 major errors because these words pass through spellcheck (so they must be in the main dictionary) and should be removed because they are not correct.

I've been back and forth with IT regarding the issue and support regarding the issue, and the words are still in spellcheck.

I have looked through my entire dictionary. They are not in my dictionary.

1) Loratidine. Should be loratadine. (Last year I asked it be removed. It is still there.)

2) bene. Should be been. Bene is not even an English word. I looked bene up in 3 major dictionaries, and it is not an English word. (Two years ago I asked that it be removed. It is still there.)

3) The generic drug ciprofloxacin is in the spellchecker capitalized as Ciprofloxacin. IT kept telling me it was spelled correctly. I kept telling them it should not be capitalized. IT told me that the capitalized and uncapitalized versions are both correct. (Thinking maybe I could send that e-mail to QA to get the 1-point error back?)

4) When I run spellcheck, it suggests that I change cardiovascular or Cardiovascular to CArdiovascular.

5) When going through the spellcheck process, if I choose a word from spellcheck or if I get out of spellcheck and manually change a word, THOSE CHANGES DO NOT SAVE TO THE DOCUMENT. I have to run spellcheck, make any needed changes, close out of spellcheck without sending the report, do a manual save, run spellcheck again, and then send the report.

I have asked my TSM to help with this. I have sent e-mails repeatedly. Nothing gets done. I sent a request to head of QA to help with this because it is a patient safety issue. She told me to work with my TSM. IT said since they have no issue with it, they will close the ticket.

As a result, spellcheck is completely untrustworthy.

Anyone out there know how to get action on spellcheck issues and get them to remove erroneous entries? To date it has cost me 4 points.

Suggestions please.

Is your platform Word based? Is it a Word document in other words? - If so you can remove it from your custom

...dictionary, I believe. I have removed all kinds of stuff from mine. I googled my word version and how to do it. Also, barring that, can you create a shortcut. In Enterprise Express we can create .esp word expanders, and I create my personalized .esps for everything I usually mistype and those things that speech wreck will seemingly NEVER learn and unlearn like it is supposed to.

Even so, though, you do have to be able to see and correct them...that is the essential thing with speech wreck, seeing and correcting the errors.

I have used Shorthand 10 for several years and have never had as big a problem with expanding until I started using escription. I work on v. 9, 10 and 11 and am seeing errors that are clearly expander related that I absolutely do not see or catch when I am in the reports. Hello, Well at 12:08 a.m. on 02/28, I had 99.03%. At noon on 02/28, somehow another QA audit showed up in my inbox. As far as I can tell we have our TSM and other TSM substitute on her days off. After she signs off in the afternoon we don't have anyone until next morning. At least we never get any Spark messages, updates, etc. during that time or from anyone else. I know Transcend used to have TLs. Maybe other companies that were absorbed did too. Is it just me, or is it quite arrogant for them to request the place in the audio when challenging? Does this happen to anyone else?? I'm soooo frustrated!! Could someone help me understand how time is accumulated in Enterprise. I clock into Webclock and then log into Enterprise. Work my shift. I can see the hours in Enterprise, let's say for the week 40 hours. Then I log into Webclock and punch out and can see the hours there, let's say 39.50. I am trying to open Enterprise this morning and the screen is small - only takes up about half of my monitor - anybody have this problem before and how to solve it? I rebooted and that didn't help. Everything in Enterprise is very tiny - all other software/Google, etc. opens normally, so it is just the Enterprise platform that is acting funny.
