Nuance/WMX/Native Enterprise - Am I really that slow?

Since switching to Native EP, my lines per hour have been running around 130. One day I decided to really apply myself to see how much better I could do, so I focused, did not give in to distractions, was fortunate to get decent dictators, had about 50/50 ISR and straight, and still only achieved barely 160. I attributed my usual low lph to an account with horrible dictators/audio, but that was not much of a factor this day. I am a seasoned MT, fairly proficient with ShortHand, but still struggling to make a good line count (180-200 on other platforms). I checked a few reports with a line counter, and the numbers matched. Is it the platform, or is it me? If it is me, maybe it is time to start looking for something else to do because the pay is too low for this one-income household. Thanks for reading.

What has definitely caused the decrease in production is that we do not have the ability to get rid of the blank space when the dictator hesitates, and that we cannot speed up the voice as much as we could before. I get virtually no templated work (reports that use normals) either. When I used to use Chart Matrix on another account I was hitting about 1800 lines in 8 hours. It has been struggle ever since the switch and then the switch to Native dropped it lower. I have a good account but this is the best I can do.

[ In Reply To ..]Since the switch back to native, I'm doing 130 lph on a good day for straight and barely getting past 160 on VR. Before this I consistently was able to do 180 straight and 200+ VR, no great shakes but certainly better than now. When I convert my line counts to average dollar per hour amounts, it's pathetic.
However, my impression is that most of us, if not all, will be switched to Nuance's program (can't remember the name), but I've read really things about it on this board.

[ In Reply To ..]I have the same situation. It is so frustrating to sit there all day doing the same dictators, but now on native no where close to the line counts I used to have. I too have tried everything I can think of to see if I can bring it up and it is impossible. Why would a company put people on a platform that is counter-productive and then pay overtime because we can now only produce considerably less. Makes no sense to me.
Not sure the answer, but betcha they are not losing $. That - is counterproductive & even MTSO not that foolish.

I used to do 200-250 lph all the time for straight typing about anywhere from 300 to 400 lph for VR but have been stuck right around 150 lph for typing and 200-250 lph for VR since the Nuance takeover. I don't understand exactly what is going on. The speech is absolutely horrible and they have all dictators on there, even ones that have no business being on speech due to sharing their ID, horrible audio quality, accent too hard for speech to learn, etc. I know that definitely has a factor in my VR lph. Not sure why my transcription lph is down so much as well. Even when I try really hard and stay focused I can't seem to get up over 200 lph either. I don't understand it as my transcription minutes per hour have stayed about the same. I can typically do about 20 minutes or so of transcription per hour. That used to equal about 200-250 lph but now only equals about 150 lph. I have had accounts switched around like crazy, so maybe different dictators explains that. I don't know but frustrated as well. I know it doesn't really help financially to hear others are having the same problem, but at least you know you are not alone and it isn't just your problem.

As far as I can tell we have our TSM and other TSM substitute on her days off. After she signs off in the afternoon we don't have anyone until next morning. At least we never get any Spark messages, updates, etc. during that time or from anyone else. I know Transcend used to have TLs. Maybe other companies that were absorbed did too. Is it just me, or is it quite arrogant for them to request the place in the audio when challenging? Of course, QA/QC never say the audio place where the error is, just the error, and we just have to listen and try to find it. Could someone help me understand how time is accumulated in Enterprise. I clock into Webclock and then log into Enterprise. Work my shift. I can see the hours in Enterprise, let's say for the week 40 hours. Then I log into Webclock and punch out and can see the hours there, let's say 39.50. I am trying to open Enterprise this morning and the screen is small - only takes up about half of my monitor - anybody have this problem before and how to solve it? I rebooted and that didn't help. Everything in Enterprise is very tiny - all other software/Google, etc. opens normally, so it is just the Enterprise platform that is acting funny. I tried all the ways of making it "full screen" and nothing works.....probably going to have to call tech support..... ...
