Company-required antivirus... - Upset

has crashed my personal laptop 3 times, at a cost of $220 to me so far for repair, and makes it so slow that I cannot use it. I also cannot use it for anything personal AT ALL. I worked full-time with no problem, including the day of their download, until this antivirus was loaded. I am able to work with this at a slower pace so far but am unable to otherwise use a very expensive laptop that I purchased myself.
Opinion? We are told to use it or quit.

[ In Reply To ..]I actually consulted with the people I use to maintain my computer before installing this and they said this version of Norton is much better than the prior personal use versions and should be no problem to remove. After hearing all these stories of it causing crashes, I hope they didn't mislead me. Kinda want to have them uninstall for me now before it causes any problems for me.

They can sue me, fire me, whatever... I'll have a recourse if they do. I'm tired of playing games. I personally am actively seeking a Plan B. I can't work like this.
Company required antivirus - other things
[ In Reply To ..]I noticed it was listing tracking cookies and not deleting them. I am now wondering if they are tracking what we are doing on the computers. Not to mention this antivirus is constantly scanning, especially when I am working and it freezes everything up. You can't control it at all or change settings, this is certainly suspect.

[ In Reply To ..]When it is done scanning, it gives a list of what was scanned and what was found and it found tracking cookies, and it said it did not delete them. I have Norton's on my personal computer and it always deletes cookies, which makes me wonder why tracking cookies are not being deleted on computers we use for work. I only use those computers for work and nothing else.

Somehow I have gotten this virus on my laptop and when searching for ways to remove it on the internet (on my desktop), all the sites are either extremely comlicated or want you to download things in order to remove it.
