Just a heads up to Avast antivirus users - sm

They did an update that wont allow Fluency to run. Called tech support took about 10 minutes to fix, but that is 10 minutes wasted..

he went into the Avast settings and re did some stuff then I think reinstalled the whole program..Once I told him the problem, he knew exactly how to fix it and had it done in no time..I dont use Remedy and wait on them, if I cant get in to work when I am supposed to, I call them...Especially since this is a known problem and no one warned me by email..

Took me 2 installs before I realized Avast was the problem and now I just shut Avast off before closing Fluency and have no problems... I put a Remedy ticket in Friday nite and they finally called me about an hour ago and I told them to forget it.

I'm cheap, not paying for an antivirus program..Wish I could explain it, I lost him on the last couple of things he did..

We all know this, but it seems things are getting worse with regard to ASR. I've been noticing it is substituting right for left and vice versa even though the dictation is crystal clear. Also, it is substiting Mr. for Mrs. or Ms. and vice versa even though the dictation is crystal clear. As someone noted previously, it is still making blatant errors in numbers (ages, lab values, vital signs, etc.). These are only a few out of a zillion examples lately. Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone out there.  I have been working for ANP Transcription out of New York for three months now and will NEVER work for them again.  They push, push, push for work to get done but can't seem to send out paychecks on time.  I have had to call and email each month.  Mysteriously, my very first paycheck didn't make the check run and my second check I was told was mailed out on July 9, but I have yet to receive that one, too. ...

If you have one of those accounts where they want all medication allergies capitalized, note that DQS 7.1 DOES NOT pick up all-cap typos/misspells.  This would include typos in the physical exam as well if the subheadings are all caps, but the medication one is more critical. Somehow I have gotten this virus on my laptop and when searching for ways to remove it on the internet (on my desktop), all the sites are either extremely comlicated or want you to download things in order to remove it.  The problem with downloading is that I can't even get to the internet on my laptop.  It blocks anywhere I want to go but brings up constant pages of porn.  Any suggestions on how to remove this or do I just need to take it in somewhere???    Thank ...
