Grow up! OP breached her contract - retired

Posted: Jun 19th, 2021 - 2:38 pm In Reply to: How awful - SM

Grow up. There is no "code." This is a business like any other. Ms. Lake provides a service to her client. Obviously, her client wants accuracy. Ms.Lake is overloaded, she offers a subcontract paying top dollar but she has stipulations. She expects the sub to go back and listen to the report(s) to make sure they are letter perfect (except for honest blanks of course.) The sub did not do this, instead telling Ms. Lake she was "too busy." She was not up front with Ms. Lake before she took the work. OP admitted in her post that she did not provide the work product that was expected of her, therefore OP breached her contract, Ms Lake did not "break the (nonexistent) code." Because of client TAT OP is unable to "cure" the breach, and Ms Lake had to pay someone else or fix the reports herself because clearly they were sloppily done. Ms. Lake is not legally required to pay OP anything but personally I would pay her half. I promise you I am not Ms. Lake, but I have been in her shoes, and OP's entitled attitude infuriates me, as do the rest of you!

Further. I doubt OP would pay for services that she contracted for, but were not delivered (i.e., an appliance repairman who did not fix the appliance properly.)

And by the way, OP not only breached her contract but she published a libel!
