E-mail from CCM scolding team - pitbullmom

My team received a scolding e-mail from CCM today regarding low quality on editing ASR, low audit scores and customer complaints. Wants us all to take a deep breath, start fresh and ask how we would like our own family members' reports to look like this. Then I noticed a typo in the e-mail. Am I being too cynical about quality here ? Talk about lowering morale ! Thanks.

i took it as more pep talkish than scolding. I will have to check for a typo to see if it is the same one. As I was reading, I thought maybe a raise would help improve things, give us more motivation and less stress. When you go for the 644, quality is going to suffer unless you have amazing accounts

according to him it was the average lines per hour of the top transcriptionists that we could achieve by turning the speed on the dictation all the way up to the fastest level. I'm really not sure if 644 was the number given, but it was some number in the lower or mid-600s

The email basically implied that if we were not averaging 644 lph we were lazy. The CEO didn't realize that in order to achieve those numbers you either need lengthy standards to pull into your reports or do what some MTs were doing and putting the reports through spellcheck and uploading (seriously, not even listening to the audio or fixing anything). So then the MTs turned the speed up to hit that magic number and the quality went down (imagine that!) and FTR was born.

Whaaa??? Had he ever listened to dictation as fast as it - could go?

All this company knows how to do is send blasting snarky emails to everyone, there is no such thing as constructive criticism, a positive email or even singling a person out for their mistakes, they just send out blanket threats. As for me, I just hit delete and go on my way, not even dignifying the stupid emails with a response. Respect and courtesy goes both ways and MQ has a lot to learn.

training-type position with the Q after I got my master's degree so I wouldn't have to leave the company (or sell my house to move!) but there were none to be had, just CCM or QA or sales (no thanks).

My team got a similar email, but our message ended w/ the threat of us losing our jobs than trying to motivate. In my 10+ years w/ MQ I've never seen anything like that. Come to think of it all our emails end in a negative tone anymore.

That makes me mad and sad. Our team CCM sent an e-mail to our team saying "great work team, keep it up. Thanks for what you do. You all are awesome." And when I passed my audit she sent me a TEXT telling me "congratulations and thank you for doing such an excellent job"..

I bet if you all had her for your CCM you'd be more inclined to feel better about your job. I wish she was everyone's CCM. :(

The TSM and QC person I've worked with forEVVVVER in the west is gone, both of them being moved up into new positions, and dividing their accounts and the entire team of MTs/MMEs has been disassembled and moved to other areas. We have a right to know who is auditing our work and essentially who holds our jobs in their hands. We also have a right to be able to review our reports that have been audited. I used to get the links for the reports that were audited, now I just get an email telling me how many mistakes I made, whether they were critical or minor and my score. Just read the MQ Central news about the pilot program for a new position called Region Team Lead (RTL). I'm already confused enough, I don't need a new acronym. They said the CTL would now be doing 100% QA and transcription. It didn't really specify who will be doing PTO requests, etc. (unless I overlooked it) I'm glad I already requested Christmas off and it was granted! Thanks CTL! I'll miss you! ...

stating too many reports being sent in with blanks. Need to send these to QA/MME/whatever they're called now. Why would we do this and get paid even less for the most horrible dictators, the worst sound quality, nothing in repository to help, being in the cesspool, yadda, yadda, yadda. This is just so laughable that they'd send this knowing we'll get paid less for sending these reports to QA. Not me!! ...
