Region Team Lead - Foz

Posted: Nov 07, 2009

Just read the MQ Central news about the pilot program for a new position called Region Team Lead (RTL).

I'm already confused enough, I don't need a new acronym.

They said the CTL would now be doing 100% QA and transcription.

It didn't really specify who will be doing PTO requests, etc. (unless I overlooked it)

I'm glad I already requested Christmas off and it was granted! Thanks CTL! I'll miss you!

Region Team Lead - anon

Think that the CCM is taking over the CTL duties - so PTO requests will probably be done by them. What a slap in the face for those CTLs. Saw this coming a few days ago. Can you believe they are encouraging CCMs to apply for this slot? Demotions for all....but that is MQ. Unless you are in India - you may be going out the door (except for those special few at MQ who seem to know the right people).

CCM taking over CTL - Oh geez...

We never hear from our CCM. Ever. Not once. This was a new CCM from the last shakeup in August or whenever it was. I have not had one e-mail, not one phone call. Good luck getting PTO approved now...

Region Team Leads hours/duties - fly on the wall

Pilot program in NE and SW regions starting 11/16. RTLs will report to their region's Sr Ops Analyst and concentrate on managing clinical documentation workflow during evenings, nights and weekends, and provide focused support to production teams and customers throughout the critical overnight and weekend periods.
They will support CCMs by working with customers to resolve issues and answer questions from MTs, MEs and MMEs in their region from 5 pm to 8 am Mon thru Fri, and 7 am to 7 pm on weekends. There are 6 openings, current CTLs, qual coaches and CCMs encouraged to apply. No mention of compensation rate. Former CTLs will do MME work.

Do you know how many CTLs there are currently? - Curious nm

How long will this one last? Only until they figure out how to get around it legally!

I Totally Just Emailed My Team Lead And Put In My Notice...
Feb 28, 2011

it's just not working out for me there.  I would rather have an IC position.  I have an interview with another company.  If I get it good, if not I will go substitute teach at the school...would prob make more money.  This fall I will be going back to college to get a BS in biology.  I will be out of this disappointing career as soon as I can.  What a waste of 2 years of my time to study medical transcription and the last 4 years trying to make money doing it. ...

How Do You Deal With A Very Rude Team Lead? I Work For Transcend And
Oct 08, 2011

have never been treated so badly at any company.  My team lead sends out the nastiest e-mails I have ever received in my life.  When I talked to my ROM (who is no longer there), she said I just needed to realize that this person had a very strong military background and that is "just how she is".  I have been around a lot of military and most of them were taught to be tactful and at least half way nice.  You never know what is going to set this one off or how she will react t ...

Finally! I Have A Lead On A Non MT Job
Jun 22, 2012

I'm beyond thrilled!  I have a good lead on a non-MT job.  I have been promised multiple things and they have never happened.  No raise in many years.  Someone tell me again, what are the benefits of being an IC when you have to do the work of so many other people PLUS transcribe?  It's ridiculous.  Years ago, when I didn't have to do the work of others plus mine, I made SO much more money.  ...

Job Out Of Region?
Jan 05, 2013

I've only been on DQS since July and still getting to know how all things work. I work in the North region, and today I am getting jobs from an account I can't find in my BOB. This account is in Tennessee, which doesn't seem like it should be in the North. Am I getting jobs from another region? Anybody know if this is possible? My regular BOB seems to be pretty much out of work, but I didn't know I could get work from somewhere else. ...

Go Team!
Aug 27, 2014

Don't you just love how they try to motivate us to do a good job by emphasizing teamwork and how "important" each of us are as part of a team? Yet the pay is so low you can barely feed yourself or pay the rent? As a result, the team of employees are leaving in droves, at least as soon as they are able to. Certainly not motivated much by mere words not backed up by pay that shows real appreciation. ...
