Quit job to take guaranteed hourly paid editor position with MedScribe (FL) 3 weeks ago. Recruiter promised huge volume of work, plenty of backup accounts on hourly pay plus CPL for transcribed lines. Was rushed through paperwork to start immediately, gave only 5 days notice to former employer (burned that bridge) for an hourly paid "sure thing". Never saw hourly pay; only 0.08 CPL for full transcribe acute care, and only to catch up an out-of-TAT acct they knew was bailing on them, going to EMR.

Asked "Where are all the backup accts the recruiter promised to prevent no-work/no-pay time?"

"Not enough work to go around now."

"Then why did you hire us??"

No answer.

"Can we just reduce our hours until things pick up?"

"You'll all be rehirable if work 'picks up' ."

Why on earth would we trust this band of dishonest liars a second time?

So mentally exhausted from the nonstop jerk arounds from one MTSO to the next. Feel so stupid for falling for this crap yet again. Another waste of precious time and best efforts.

They should be next-in-line for a lawsuit! - They were intentionally deceiptful. (nm)

...I don't know about a Colorado office, but I do know that this NJ/Florida office MedScribe's (Med-Scribe) corporate role call reeks as incestuously as that of an Appalachian family tree.

I'm sorry about your job. It seems to be happening to a lot of us lately. MTSOs owners and managers exhibit no conscience. How can they hire us knowing we are depending on the income and then, with no notice, cut us loose? It has happened to me more than once (not because of quality issues or any reason whatsoever that I was given). They just send an email that you no longer work for them. I do believe everyone reaps what he sows, and there is great comfort in that.

The day we suddenly ran out of work in early February was when another MTSO got the account. For my fellow MTs who are suffering from no work from that account, you can go to TTS, who is still hiring for it. Line rate for employees .01 cent less than TT but they pay headers, which TT did not. You can make the same (.01 cent more if you decide to be an IC rather than employee). Well after being put on 100% QA for 5 days, not passing an audit at 97.95% I was terminated today. This company is unbelievable. I started a new client for an MTSO recently. One ESL dictator's H&Ps are so out of order they require a ton of reformatting. This is the order he dictated: History of Present Illness, Past Medical History, Chief Complaint, Plan, PE, Review of Systems, Assessment/Plan.
