had their payroll checks posted yet?  The e-mail said Chase Bank should be today, but mine has not been posted so far.  Wondering if that is across the board or should I contact owner?  Thanks!

Did Keytrokes even have the courtesy to notify anyone the checks had gone though?

How about the email that said something to the effect "when it was learned the bank was closed due to Veterans Day".DUH???? Legal holiday----anyone who deals does banking should know this.
This may not have been the problem; however, I would be embarrassed to say I was unaware a bank is closed on a legal holiday if I did banking professionally.

They were told that it was not a problem, only to find out that it was. If you ask a question ahead of time to be sure you didn't have a problem, then if they tell you it is not a problem, then it should NOT BE a problem.

Chase misled KS into believing it was not a problem and that payroll would be met despite the holiday. You need to go back and read the email.

You seem to be the rude one. Keystrokes has been more than accommodating every time there is any kind of issue. I am impressed with them and their candor and support at times like this.

This is what the mail said " We sent all payroll to our bank on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 for it to be processed and released to you on November 15, 2010. It was discovered by us on Thursday, November 11, 2010 that the bank was closed due to Veterans Day and they were not processing any transactions on that day. I spoke to our bank on Friday and they assured us that Veterans day would not have any bearing on how and when your check will be processed to your bank. "

I did not post originally, but I honestly not see any indication where they asked ahead of time if it would be a problem.

Veterans Day is not a Monday holiday. It is celebrated on the actual date 11/11, whatever day of the week that falls on, which varies each year. All banks have signs posted on their doors that they are closed on 11/11. I don't work for KS or Chase Bank, so I don't know whose fault it was that you didn't get your pay checks on time.

I used to do payroll for a very large company. This is the lamest excuse I have ever heard. I was shocked when I got the email. This is the second time this year there has been a payroll issue.

Sounds to me like the money wasn't in the account when Chase tried to withdrawal it! That's the most common problem in payroll processing.

I have family that work at Chase too. Excellent employer with excellent benefits as far as I am concerned. To the poster who has a credit card at 33%, I would venture a guess and say you've missed payments somewhere along the line. My interest rate with Chase card is 5%.

Chase has been in the news many, many times for their crooked practices and faced many government fines and investigations. They were brought into the spotlight not too long ago for raising lots of credit card interest rates, because they payers "might" be a credit risk, even if they had never missed a payment or gone over their limit.

Chase and CitiBank - they have both earned their reputations, lol. I'm sure they do have great benefits,but I would never work for them, since I know how they come by that money to pay those benefits.

My husband's small business account was hacked into (we did not do on line banking, someone opened one for our business with stolen info somehow) and $30,000 was used to pay bills, Capital 1, etc. We contacted Chase as soon as we were informed we were overdrawn and they said, "sorry, it is more than 1 day since this occurred, you are a business and you have 1 day to notify us of this or we cannot help." WHAT??

Ok, so we do the police report (2 people working 10,000 cases, not much hope there) and we start contacting the businesses who were paid with our money, while we had also given all this info to Chase. We got credits from many of them, but had $10,000 outstanding from Capital 1. It is like hitting your head against the wall, they will NOT give out any info because our info does not match the person's account...DUHHHH....we know that, it was OUR MONEY used to pay for some crook!

We continued to work on this, and finally after weeks and untold number of calls, we got a sympathetic ear from a manager at Capital 1. He got back to us and guess what??? All $10,000 had been reported as being fraudulent by Chase and 10 days prior to this they had REFUNDED the money to Chase, who did NOT tell us and were KEEPING THE MONEY THEMSELVES!!! I will never ever deal with Chase again.

Did you ever get your check? They said Chase would do it today if your were a Chase customer and tomorrow if not. Sure hope I get mine tomorrow. I went grocery shopping today and had to leave the cart of groceries because my check had not been desposited. I left before the e-mail ever came. Next time I will check with my bank.

Even the best of employers has those days when unforeseen circumstances prevent everything from going off without a hitch.

I have a credit card with Chase, which I canceled when they went up to 33% interest. They are not nice people and they are proud of their dorsal fin.

I have been with this company for many years, and nothing like this has EVER happened. I was hoping we could come here and find out everyone had gotten their checks, and we could deal with this on a one-on-one situation, but it appears it goes on. I hope by midnight tonight (3 hours from now) this will be over. But, again, I am SO SORRY for your experience today.

There was a problem earlier ths year where paychecks weren't deposited and they ended up having them wired. Two times in under a year is not acceptable. Maybe they need to fire their payroll person or maybe they didn't have any money to make the payroll...

This is the 3rd time it's happened for me, each time causing hardship. My account was overdrawn due to this blunder, and I wonder who's going to pay the NSF. To the person who schedules their payments 2 days after payday: What would you have done had the problem not gotten fixed today? You can plan but ultimately you don't have the control.

I know someone that had overdraft fees and contacted the owner, as it said to do in the email, and she is getting them paid.

3 times this year? I doubt it. I have worked there for 8 years and have not had problems except one day in 2008 when they first went to Chase and now.

I moved my personal accounts to Chase when they sent us all the information and it was a mess from day one. Chase was supposed to give us $100 for opening the accounts; I never saw it and gave up fighting for it after 6 months. My account was supposed to be free; that only lasted 6 months and then they changed their account rules. I used to be able to put in a check and have the funds available the next day; the changes a year or so back made it so that I have to wait anywhere from 3 to 5 days. There is a hold on a check from the first week that I opened the account that has not been released, no matter how many times I have called. I even went so far as to send them the cancelled check from my mom, but the hold is still there. Good thing it's only $74.00. The kicker is that the check was from a Chase account of my mom's and it cleared her account the same day.

I know that this board brings out the ugly in some people and others wait to post negative on any company, and I know that there are rah-rah's that come and sing the praises of one company after another as they move around.

I'm not one of those. I am happy with Keystrokes, and I think they are happy with me. I have enough work to work my 8 hours each day and enough money to pay my bills. My supervisor is wonderful, and everyone I have ever talked to in the office is very nice and helpful. If there is a glitch here or there, the rest outweighs that and I can over look it. At least they told us and fixed it; many companies would not.

As a matter of fact, I have contacted the owner via e-mail, as requested, and have not received a response and the NSF has not been credited back to my account.

And, as far as it being the 3rd time my pay has not been deposited as expected this year, I have no reason to get on this board and tell lies...I stand to gain nothing...but I have lost (money) and time stressing over the issue.

I am glad you're happy because happiness is what's important and what most of us want. I am also very glad things are going so well for you, but please do not discredit or judge others for voicing "their" opinions as obviously the situations are different or I'm sure they wouldn't be posting such.

I know this is a little thing, but after 2 years it is a little annoying.  Why do you ask MTs to look up physician names and addresses that are not in the database and to send to QA?  You NEVER enter them into the system, not once.  I have kept a list of physician names and addresses that we frequently use that are not in the database.  I send them to QA every time, requesting that they be entered.  I wonder what your response would be if we sent it blank?  Just a l ...

After 15 years, I finally had left MQ to go to DSG, then got thrown back into MQ/MM 2 years later when they bought out DSGs medical transcription department. I left MT completely after that fiasco. If anyone who works for TTS can help me, I would appreciate it. I've been there 3 weeks and I am actually happy working there. But .... I am super paranoid about sticking to 8 hours per day because I was warned that OT is not allowed unless expressly offered and only after I am off the orientation team and on the production team.  So I am being really careful about my active platform time but I wonder if I'm being TOO careful. Has anyone ever thought of contacting the national media to let the nation as a whole know where their medical records are going and who is doing them and that fact that people have died because of wrong medications, etc.?  I thing most Americans would be surprised and pissed to find out that their private medical information is ending up in India.  They might not care as much about our wages and what is happening to our jobs, but I think they would care about where their personal info ...
