I'm sorry that you came here for answers and some people just jump in and decide to be mean and nasty to you. I was a nurse before I became an MT and I thought the transition would be easy. It wasn't too bad honestly. I did have to learn a lot. There is much more to it than just knowing terminology and anatomy. With that being said, it sounds like you are in a position where you must work from home due to some medical problems. I'm sorry this has happened to you as I'm sure it is devastating and now you need to look for some type of employment to get you through. This must all be very hard and overwhelming for you.

I don't know an MT who carries liability insurance. I do not carry it myself.

As far as working as an MT, I heard a while back about a company called AST Services that hires new MTs. You might check them out. I haven't worked for them personally, but I do remember seeing their ad.

There are other options where you can work for home with your medical experience such as for medical insurance companies like Humana, United Healthcare, Aetna and others. When you go to their careers sections just check for remote jobs or work from home jobs. I would check all national medical insurance companies. A lot of these companies hire RNs and LPNs. This may be something you're interested in. These companies will pay way more than working as an MT and offer benefits. Walgreens also hires customer service agents for their pharmacies who work remotely from home.

I wish you all the best and hope that your health improves. If you have a chronic condition then I hope you find something that meets your needs and helps you to maintain an income while working from home.
