Forget MT, despite your experience. You ought to know it's dead in the water now and has been for years. Scribe won't even do you any good. Just because you've been a "provider" doesnt mean you'd be worth a darn as an MT. Most of us at one time or another in the past have been in house and sat down a "provider" in front of our desk because they thought our job was so easy, and those "providers" failed miserably.

Read this board. MTs with 30+ years of experience have a difficult, if not impossible time getting a job. You have literally no chance at all.

Have you seen the pay we get nowdays?

You'd be better off spending your time volunteering or working at a city charity clinic if you can do any little thing at all, even clerical, patient transport, flu shot clinic hand holder, anything but MT.

Last but not least, I have to wonder why a medical provider is even asking for MT advice on here. Don't you get any kind of workers comp, disability, or anything else? No money saved throughout the years in your career as a medical provider? Why would you even need to work?

I'm a bit suspicious of this post. Most MTSOs don't require any liability insurance, it's really not necessary at all. The MTSO or facility usually takes the responsibility for such a huge error that would fall under liability insurance coverage.
