look into taking an on-line MT course. It really is your best shot at getting a job in the field. If you approached the course like a job and worked at it for 6-8 hours a day, you could probably finish in 4-6 months and have the best shot at being hired somewhere. The only good course I know of now is Career Step. Also, if you have an analytical mind and like solving puzzles, medical coding might be a better choice. You might not be able to find an at-home job in coding though because the trend has been in-house first then eventually transitioning to home. You also have to sit for several credentialing exams, and those would happen out of the home. You could call and speak to Linda Andrews at Andrews School who is very nice and could advise you about that. Last but not least, you've got to lose the attitude that you know all about MT, because you don't. Good luck to you whatever you decide.
