I just read the posts below about layoffs. - How come

The layoffs seem to be posts from Evelyn, Liz, Donna, Sue, Lee, Ruth, Pegge, Ginger and so on.

Another post stated she talked to her TSM and it was all rumors.

I do not mean to offend anyone, but I am part time and have overtime work tonight and for this weekend. Maybe due to people being laid off?? The thing is, I do not work my hours like I should because I am so SICK of this job after being here way too many years to care anymore. I have another job working in a doctor's office with 28-32 hours I put in a week and get paid double the amount than this job. I only stay at this disgusting job because this was my life working for this one company when I started ions ago.

I just do not get this company at all. I am sorry for all the ones who might have been let go. My last name is near the end of the alphabet. I will let you know when I am targeted next.

Yep not a hoax, got an email from my TSM yesterday stating verifying this was true...from her group she had to let 10 go.

Can you imagine having to make 10 of those - phone calls.

I thought about those TSMs all day that day, how horrible it must have been to make those calls. I would have been in tears all day and sick to my stomach that day and how ever many days before that I knew I had to do it. Such a horrible, horrible task.

yea, that is how people with a heart and conscience - would feel!

I think some of those TSMs are robots, or like the cowardly lion (no heart).

Worse than lying to your employees day after day? - No sympathy here

They lied over and over to their MTs telling them the work would pick up and whatever excuse of the day was passed down from corporate - Hurricane Sandy, holidays, spring break, etc. They knew they work was in India and work would not pick up. If I had a dollar for every time I heard "hang in there" I would have my own golden parachute. They should have been honest from the beginning and told the employees what was going on. Sorry but I have no sympathy that they had to make some phone calls to lay off people they know nothing about other than their employee number while they are recruiting heavy in India for more workers.

In my region at least they tried transferring employees and trying to wait for others to quit but apparently people didn't quit fast enough. Just know that eventually those TSMs will get laid off too because when you have a skeleton crew of MTs you only need a skeleton crew of TSMs too.

Unless I missed something, no one has said if there were specific regions where many MTs were laid off. Perhaps MM is going about this region by region. I am a Tier 3 part-timer and have not received a call. Of course, my mgr said it was all a rumor -- yea, right. I agree with those who said we are being replaced by India. I know this board is consumed right now about the layoffs but I have question. HAD to call Support yesterday and today, and was told that I cannot change my password in Ipswitch. With the economy the way it is, layoffs happen. Do you really think that companies like to lay people off?
