i'm just curious. most of the time i pass my audits with a 99.7. but there have been a few times i have gotten emails telling me my score was below 99.6 and showing me the error of my ways. but i have never seen the word FAIL nor has it even been a big deal, i just get the email letting me know and thats that.

does something different happen to some of you or is this what you are calling 'failing an audit' ? because i've never found it to be a big deal, these emails. i roll my eyes and just go on my way.

Every time a job misses the magic number, even by a mere 0.1 or less, I get an email telling me how bad I am, don't let this happen again and to proofread again after editing. All this over 0.25 minor error that has no effect on patient care or sentence meaning. I got put on PM stage 1 (warning) again, being told I had been so bad last month. I rechecked all my quality emails and did not find notices of failed jobs.

I have been an MT for 30 years, 7 years here, and never had any bad audits until I was thrown into this particular pod. I have now been on 1 stage PM 3 times.

I will be so glad to be rid of this abusive place when I finish school and get a new job.

What POD are you in? I was transferred into a new POD a few months ago and can't pass. SM - Frecklefart

My new HDSM initials are RW and my PC is RR. In my old POD we were audited weekly with all of the stat BS that goes along with it such as keyboard time, and almost always passed. Now, because I am new to this POD "I must be periodically audited." I failed last audit, had to have a meeting, etc.... I have failed again and have another meeting today about both failures. I figure I will be PM now.

My HSDM initials are RW. My prior audit was 100%. However, I did not pass my last audit because I did not include a CC.

I mean, these specs have got to be more QA idiosyncrasy than what the clients asks for. Do you really think a doctor is worried about whether you transcribe "twice daily" or "2 times a day"?? No, it just doesn't matter. They have way more important things to deal with. REAL critical errors are what they need to be concerned about, not wasting time and money micromanaging people who managed themselves just fine before the MTSO came along to make a profit. Can't wait to get out of this sorry excuse for a profession.

Im on PM also...no pay is docked..I still have the certificates they used to give out for maintaining 98% accuracy..I guess that stray comma and added the, is WAY more important than the mistakes I see in old reports,,,you know medications that don't even exist, improper equipment names..Whatever screw this place..the question now is to quit or not to quit,,Or keep messing up and get fired and fight their assinine quality scores for U/E..Decisions, decisions

I think they should just go ahead and say they want 100%. By the way I have never been on PM during my 30 years as an MT until working for Mmodal. They really want people on PM so they can justify not giving raises.

A fellow MT but a slave for the other horrible big MTSO, Nuance. Just wanted to agree with this post. They DO want perfection. When we're talking about the fact that leaving out an 'a' reduces one's pay significantly, we can essentially say they require 100%. My TSM actually mentions how we need to deliver PERFECT reports all the time in her cheerleadery emails. The quest for perfection is all a facade though; it's just the way they attempt to justify knocking our pay. All these big MTSOs are horrible. :(

I have not read much lately about anyone being on Performance Management due to failed audits. Is this still happening? How long do you stay on PM? Are you then audited every day? For the people in the PODS, if you are put on PM, I assume that means a pay cut. If you are reduced to below minimum wage in this process, how can MM expect you to stay? Who is going to do their OT? Have you been put on 100% QA AND received a pay cut? Do you have to fail 2 in a row? How much of a pay cut is it? I am going to be fuming mad if I get a pay cut. Not a single one of my "errors" were critical...as like so many of us.......... So, I failed another "audit". I have to bounce back and forth between at least 10 accounts, therefore 10 different client profiles AND have to keep up with the ever changing QA preference of the day! So, I go through the grammar portion of the test, use a ton of reference materials when I needed to and I failed the test? Huh???!!! There wasn't even a place that told me what my score was! Because it's so short I got 90%. There is no coming back from that. No way to get back on the grid even if I got a slew of 100% reports in a row. And now that they wait 2 weeks instead of 1 to count your QA, this will follow me for 2 weeks instead of 1. Tell me, WHAT is my motivation now to continue doing well for the next 2 weeks?
