I failed ANOTHER test. This time I made it all the way through and took the transcription part of the test. I was just informed that my scores were not QUITE what they need to be. I think I am about ready to give up........I swear.........

Was this MTTest? There are postings about - the problems with it. NM

I guess I'm allowed to say. It was a test for Transolutions. I passed all the sections and then did the transcriptoin test. I don't know what went wrong. They tell me they cannot shre feedback. I understand their position. I just would like to know what I did wrong. At this point I am doubting there is a test I could pass.

How new are you to the profession? Many companies use the terminology first, then transcription tests to weed out the people who are actual transcriptionists rather than someone who just wants to "work from home."

That being said... there can't be a single MT here who has never failed an employment test... I myself have failed a few.

Don't let one failed test deter you from trying again.

I've always looked at it this way... It wasn't meant to be. If I gave my testing my 100%, but failed, there is a reason I am not working at the company now...

I have been a transcriptionist for 17 years, which is one reason it disappoints me so that I failed this one. I figure since I have been in this profession for this long I should be able to pass a test. I just wish I knew what I did wrong. It wasn't on the written part. It was on the transcription part, which is even more concerning to me.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I know we all have bad patches. I am just kind of disappointed in myself.

You need to contact the service and ask one question: "Do you want things transcribed VERBATIM or do you want to BOS rules to be applied?"

Trust me ... there's a difference between the two.

I asked BOS or not and if they wanted it formatted a certain way. They said no. Webmedx said they don't look at formatting or anything, just if the report is correct corresponding with what the dictator dictated. I passed the test but didn't take the job they offered.

So, I failed another "audit". I have to bounce back and forth between at least 10 accounts, therefore 10 different client profiles AND have to keep up with the ever changing QA preference of the day! So, I go through the grammar portion of the test, use a ton of reference materials when I needed to and I failed the test? Huh???!!! There wasn't even a place that told me what my score was! i'm just curious. most of the time i pass my audits with a 99.7. but there have been a few times i have gotten emails telling me my score was below 99.6 and showing me the error of my ways. but i have never seen the word FAIL nor has it even been a big deal, i just get the email letting me know and thats that. does something different happen to some of you or is this what you are calling 'failing an audit' ? because i've never found it to ...

Yep, that's my 4th within a week. Yep, just as I noted a couple weeks ago, 2 "punctuation" errors and you fail. One spelling error that I have no idea how that could make it through spell check. And a full point for not cc'ing a dictating physician who said to send him a copy - because the CP did not say not to??????? Because it's so short I got 90%. There is no coming back from that. No way to get back on the grid even if I got a slew of 100% reports in a row. And now that they wait 2 weeks instead of 1 to count your QA, this will follow me for 2 weeks instead of 1. Tell me, WHAT is my motivation now to continue doing well for the next 2 weeks? I have not read much lately about anyone being on Performance Management due to failed audits. Is this still happening? How long do you stay on PM? Are you then audited every day? For the people in the PODS, if you are put on PM, I assume that means a pay cut. If you are reduced to below minimum wage in this process, how can MM expect you to stay? Who is going to do their OT?
