What is going on at M*Modal that would make their acquisition team email me and leave phone messages at least 3 times a week for over a month?  I have not responded to any of these messages, and I have not shown any interest in working for them in many years. 

Where is what I get:

Recently, we contacted you to inform you that you are eligible to retest for a position with M*Modal. We have not yet received your testing results. Please note, your testing must be completed within 48 hours or your application will be withdrawn. If you've completed the testing portion within the last 48 hours, you do not need to test again. Your status will be updated once we receive the results.

M*Modal utilizes an on-line testing process to evaluate your transcription knowledge and skills. The test consists of two parts, an objective portion and a transcription portion. Please allow a minimum of 1 hour to complete the assessment.

Depending on your experience you will want to choose from one of the two tests available. Please be sure you review the requirements below before making your decision. It is important that you select the correct test based on your skills level.

Acute Care - experience transcribing physician-dictated inpatient medical record reports: history and physicals, operative reports, consultations and discharge summaries.

If someone decides to test "on your behalf" by using the ID number assigned to you and tests badly, it might be a negative reflection on your quality of work. It's just me, but I would never post anything on a public forum that might come back to haunt me later on.

I have received this email twice, once a couple of months ago and again just a couple of weeks ago. I emailed my CCM who indicated it was a "mistake" and should not have been sent to me and she was glad I let her know so she could let "them" know. That was after the first one, and I STILL received it a second time. I just deleted it, though not sure how they could NOT know that I'm ALREADY their employee!!!!

They probably assume you left because so many employees do - Amy

This company is like a revolving door - they probably can't even keep up with how many people are hired then leave just weeks later.

I'm guessing that all of us employees are heaped into one big "probably quit" pile.

You're right--most everyone likely IS in the "probably quit" pile at some point! :-D

I declined the position with M*Modal when my smaller MTSO was acquired. I've gotten the recorded call three times now. Since I haven't found anything else yet, it's always a teensy bit tempting, just so I would be earning SOMETHING....but then I see what so many people complain about here, and I have a feeling I'm better off not responding.

They must keep doing it with all their contact lists on the chance that they'll catch someone like me who thinks, "I'm not making any money now, anyway....what do I have to lose?"

They probably think you have talent to offer the team. Why not pick up the phone and simply call the number you've posted here. Better yet, everyone that is upset should just call the number. I did this a few months back, spoke with a member of the team and they simply removed me form their list. It seems we gripe even about the good things lol. After all they are recruiting you for a job.

Every time there is a hospital or clinic acquisition, those "acquired" MTs will be crammed onto existing accounts as their own account/work types become more streamlined and less available as more and more of it is done more efficiently with voice wreck and 3 shifts of people to do the work. Think of it like when a larger dog moves into a pen already crowded with too many dogs. I thought they were 2 different services.  Everyone is buying out everyone, so who knows.  All the small companies have been merged I guess.  I thought Nuance was out of New York and were the primary with VR.  Maybe one has to keep up with the changes and be a member and pay the dues and go to the meetings with AAMT and be a CMT to keep up with the changes, even though you still get 4 cents. ...

The TSM and QC person I've worked with forEVVVVER in the west is gone, both of them being moved up into new positions, and dividing their accounts and the entire team of MTs/MMEs has been disassembled and moved to other areas.  I am *terribly* sad about this because they were both absolutely amazing to work for, but I'm glad that I'll be staying in the Western region. We have a right to know who is auditing our work and essentially who holds our jobs in their hands.  We also have a right to be able to review our reports that have been audited.  I used to get the links for the reports that were audited, now I just get an email telling me how many mistakes I made, whether they were critical or minor and my score.  I want to be able to listen to the reports that were audited and that I supposedly made mistakes on to see if I agree with the audit t ...
