Let me get this straight, if I send a job to QA for demos or if I am in training and have 100% QA, then when they correct or proof it, when they send it, they get the line count credit! Is that what I am reading into this? REALLY? Please tell me this isn't true.

You get your line count credit. QA does not take that away from you. QA gets 3 cents a line for regular QA or 4 cents a line for full QA but that's based on the line count when it comes to QA. They don't get paid for all the stuff they clean up or all of the blanks they fill in.

QA doesn't get your pay, plus only get paid - for 0.43% of the lines in a report.

An MME makes 3 cpl for any report that just needs the blanks filled and 4 cpl for any report that needs 100% review. If you see errors around the blank, we are required to do a full review anyway and let our TSM know, and they will switch it to 4 cpl. I keep track of my lines all the time and this is the truth.

If we get paid 0.43% of the lines of a report at 3 cpl for 100 line report, that would be:
0.43%=0.0043
0.0043*100*0.03= 1.29 cents

I'm sorry, but something in your statement is incorrect as I make more than a penny for a 100-line report. Please explain your info and where you got it from.

If the MT/ME sends a report in for blanks only once in awhile, they have nothing to worry about. They get their full pay.

If the MT/ME sends a lot of reports in (a certain percentage) then they get docked 3 cpl for reports to QA after that percentage. This is a stupid MModal rule.

As stated, an MME makes 4 cpl for 100% review and 3 cpl to fill in blanks on all the lines that come in with the report they are working on. If an MT/ME sends a report that is 200 lines, but types 50 of those lines because of poor audio and sends to QA, and then the QA can fill them all in, the QA will only get 50 lines, not the 150 that the QA typed. In short QA only gets credit for what the MT/ME had originally typed.

Oh course we get line credit, we have to read the report 100%, fill in blanks, give feedback to you the new MT. You get the lines, but we also get the lines, after all we did have it for 100% word-by-word review. We do not get paid by the hour, just like you and all others, by the line.

Last night I did two fairly long duplex studies where the doctor says "use my standard" with a lot of "move this, take that out, insert this..." Not difficult, but time consuming. When I went in to look at my line count after my shift, I got a total of 20 lines for the two reports, or 16.48 cents! What gives with this? Did I miss the memo, or did they just not tell us? Had an excellent job until hospital outsourced 5 years ago, downhill from there. Paycheck for the last 2 weeks was $88. I bet over in India they made more than me even with 35 years exp. Why is MModal posting job openings, when so many of use are running out of work or worse falling into the pool--what with the pay cuts, VR being paid half even though it takes nearly as long to edit most reports, and the fact that I only get my "primary" accounts about 30% of the time and the rest of the time I am typing from the pool so that nearly every report that comes up is a new facility or dictator, I have gone from making $16 an hour to minimum wage. I see so many complaints about MModal. Does anyone actually like them? I'm in the hiring process and they are calling with an offer. I would like to try it out. I work in-house now, but eventually my position will be eliminated due to VR. I do not make that great of pay, and have lots of down time, but still have to sit in the office all day. I am so sick of Mmodal. I resigned recently and I keep getting letters to return things that I have never ever owned or received or stuff that I had sent back to them years ago. The DEPOT apparently is as ignorant as the rest of them. SO glad I found real job that pays, respects and appreciates their employees.
