for me, it will have to wait until june of 2016, when i turn 62. and when that happens i want to take out huge page ads in the local areas of the hospitals that we work for and go into great detail about how we get treated and ask them why they hate MTs so much that they would go along with this. i want to address all the hospitals and doctors and make them aware of this. its simply unconscionable (sp?) what they are doing here. i did glance over at Nuance and it looks like similar but possibly worse BS? its so sad. we are simply not respected and yet are held to high standards. who in their right minds would tolerate this? poor people who have little to no choices, thats who. but i seriously want to do this. my twitter feed is going to busy blasting MModal and letting the world know how we are treated. counting the days.
On the timesheets they presented today approval they didn't have the QA payroll bonus for the past week. Don't I remember they told us everyone was getting it for the first quarter...which would have technically ended 3/31? I've sent an e-mail to my supervisor and manager asking as I don't want to sign off if they're trying to pull one on us and "forget" to give it for those last 2 days of the quarter which of course was in a different pay period. Will let you know wha ...
Anyone else on here get the email that Nuance wants copied and posted to social media?
"Choose your own rate of pay on our compensation grid."
There is no way I would recommend this place to anyone.
"Sky's the limit!" What is the deduction in pay for that error? ...
Guess we will have to wait and see. Tuesday 3 hours of work because of doctor's appointment and could not make up time if there was any work. Today second job, cannot make up time. All morning no work. Will have to work more hours at second job I guess. Retail, not guaranteed hours but better than what I am getting at MModal. ...
Did I totally misunderstand or are we being grandfathered in for the bonuses of the 1st quarter to help with adjustment to the new rating system where an error in a short report is a KILLER? ...
What exactly is their reasoning behind making all the hospitals and other places put their coders through the expense and headache of trying to learn ICD-10 if they keep pushing it back? Come on already! So, I guess another ICD-9 book will be out in October? ...
Hoping to start a nursing program. I am 35 and have been a medical transcriptionist since graduating from high school. I would like to eventually obtain a Master's in nursing. I have been planning this for a while (almost two years), but I've been really nervous, so I have kind of put things off. I think one thing I'm nervous about is it is my first time going to college. I was trained for medical transcription at a technical school while still in hig ...
Has anyone heard anything about choosing holidays for 2015 with ImedX/TransTech? Last year I remember getting the initial emails in October, but this year haven't seen or heard a thing...Seems kinda fishy... ...
Just curious about this as the new increases in some states are more than what a lot of MTs make hourly, i.e. Seattle, Washington, $15.00 an hour. This won't affect me personally, but I wonder how MTSOs will be handling this situation.
If an employee is paid on production but is an employee and not an IC, if she lives in Washington or another state where minimum wage is higher than what she is producing, how does an MTSO handle this? ...
to be cut. Right up there, global labor optimization and workforce reductions.
"We've initiated a more formal program targeted to deliver $125 million in expense reductions by the end of FY '16. This initiative includes reduction to services and products from third parties, real estate site consolidation, streamlining management layers and global labor optimization, including workforce reductions. The program is already delivering measurable results." ...
I would like to know how anyone who graduates from Career Step and can not find a job for a MT...I am a graduate of March this year however not with honors. But still every job I have read you need three years experience or more. Very upset all the money put out for extensions, etc and it was a waste of life and time.. Any suggestions on places who give graduates a chance?? ...
I sent my resume in and just heard back last week asking if I was still interested. She sent a brief little word document with some account specs, cpl and paydates--no contract, HIPAA agreement, etc. I did three voice files the first day. She sent back a copy of my transcription, supposedly with corrections, but there were no QA markings or corrections. I did 15 voice files the next day and again she sent back a copy of my transcription with no obvious corrections. I asked her how I was sup ...
The text of this post explains why it is never, ever, ever safe to utilize the email function associated with this board. Nuance really wishes this truth-telling forum would just go away, but all they are really capable of doing is blocking your computer's access to it. And yes, they do it even on computers that you personally own, not just the ones they provide. Their favorite ploy is to come on here posing as a very helpful MT and innocently suggesting, "I'm not really comfortable po ...
Just got the email today that effective 10/01/2010, my MTSO (whom I will not name) will no longer be paying holiday pay (aka 1.5 cpl) for any holidays anymore b/c of "the economy." R U *** kidding me? First of all, I thought that the recession was officially over in 2009, but I could be mistaken. Secondly, I know holiday pay and OT and all that is a "perk" and not required by law to pay us, but yet they expect us MTs, er me, to work all major holidays for the same crappy cpl as always ...
And by the crappy work I mean ONLY the lowest paying jobs. This is so totally rediculous. Of course the lower paying/new jobs at least is work, but that seems to be all that's left anymore. Can't even get up early and get work.
I'm outa here. ...
I'm a tier 3 MT who works part time. I've been pretty much happy with shift, pay, work types, etc., until this past week. All of a sudden, everything (and I do mean EVERYTHING) is out of TAT, mostly ER reports, and just horrible sound files. Lots of static, "bubble" sounds, canny sound like you get with speaker phones. On top of all that, my CCM announced on Thursday she was leaving and was gone on Friday. First thing new CCM did was whine about all the ou ...
I know it sounds petty, but at least with OSi you felt appreciated when the mailman brought you the little box with the OSi coffee cup full of Christmas candy and a card. Now, just another workhoarse . Thank you Nuance, Merry Christmas! ...
A $2,500 deductible for individuals? Are you nuts? $5,000 for families?
Are you going to give us ANY paid holidays? Or are you going to make it so we no longer get any paid holidays just like the rest of your poor employees?
As a publicly traded company, you should be ASHAMED to be offering your employees such lousy benefits.
And thank you, Webmedx losers at the top who sold our company to one that is obviously going to make our benefits even more unaffordable in addition to sending a portion ...
I just want to know how to keep lines per hour up if they can't even fix flaws in their software. This is like expecting a car mechanic to fix a car without the proper tools, like a surgeon without his instruments, like a pianist without a piano, like a photographer without film, like a painter without paint, like a gas station attendant without a pump, like a seamstress without a needle, like a mailman without mail, like a skydiver without a parachute, l ...
I've been gone for a month now. I feel like bricks have been taken off my chest. I don't feel the vomit rise in my throat when I checked Fiesa. I work somewhere else for a little bit less money (about $20 day less), but it is so worth it. There are companies hiring now. The pay might be a little less than Nuance, but take it. In other small companies, the people you work for are nice and they care like the company I came from before Nuance. ...
I am not up on my business particulars, but when this "merge" - ahem - took place March 1 (I think) of last year, could all contracts have been resigned for a specific period of time, say 1 year, or did contracts just continue as is until they were up, more than likely ending on various dates?
Could we be looking at our 1 year anniversary where all contracts come to an end? Are there legalities that go along with a 1-year period for employees? Employer tax breaks?
There is at ...
