I've been gone for a month now. I feel like bricks have been taken off my chest. I don't feel the vomit rise in my throat when I checked Fiesa. I work somewhere else for a little bit less money (about $20 day less), but it is so worth it. There are companies hiring now. The pay might be a little less than Nuance, but take it. In other small companies, the people you work for are nice and they care like the company I came from before Nuance. Have you ever once been on a call with the president of the company to thank you? That was a regular occurence at my former company. The woman in HR is horrible. She is nasty and my former COM is a 2-faced liar. You may think you have it good right now at Nuance but I promise you, things will change. It is not a good place to work. They beat you down, make you feel worthless, send you demeaning emails and then for a bonus, they reward you with Fiesa. The QA/QC staff are wannabes because they could never making a living with MT like we do. They are so jealous and think they've struck gold when they find an error in your work, and if it's worth 3 points, they hit the jackpot. And really, the QA/QC is really the bottom of the barrel for MTs, not the cream like they think. Make a new resume and start sending it out. Someone will hire you eventually and you can out of there before they fire you or make your pay worse. And there are better benefits at other places. My insurance which starts after 30 days is $270 a month for me, my husband and whole family. You don't have to put up with their crap and if enough people get fed up and leave, Nuance can send all their work to their wonderful India companies. The place I work for does not outsource and Nuance has several accounts who won't let them outsource, so maybe those accounts will leave. Just remember, you don't have to put up with their crap and there is always another place that is a good match for you to work, you just have to keep looking.
