Anybody know how to become part of the audit team - Something different

I'm hoping for a change of pace and I'm thinking the audit team has a little more job security.

To me that seems like a very mysterious group of people. You never hear from them directly. You don't know who they are.

And you never see those positions posted at MModal either.

I never get a copy of the reports that have been audited. If I have made a mistake, I would like to see what I did wrong and listen to the report while checking my mistakes.

There are strict parameters for auditing now, and we are all being audited regularly on a monthly basis. If you haven't been getting your audits sent to you, you need to let someone know.

There is WAY too much emphasis on quality right now for you to be kept in the dark.

the audit team are former MMEs, but I am not completely sure. It seems an old MME from the accounts I used to work on was promoted and perhaps that is what she is now. Who knows. Again, this company keeps changing things up, so you can't keep up and then they can fire you for not knowing. The devil is who runs this place. Hate it!

I was told Audit team is made up of Q/A who were going to be laid off a while ago, some were kept and made into audit team.

That would be kind of like, an MT jumping to Area Director. The reason why you don't see Audit jobs listed on the jobs page is because that position is only open to those with a specific level of training and only listed internally.

What qualifications? What type of education/training to qualify for this position? I cant imaging MM would spend big bucks. I have never heard of a national audit team only from MM. I too was told they were people from QA who MM did not want to let go when they downsized, so they promoted them to an audit team. Is it legal to not offer the position to everyone, not just internal? I thought when a company has openings, they have to post for all to get a chance to apply. Hiring from within sounds like favoritism to me.

Hospitals, schools, etc. They will always post a job within the company to give their employees a chance to move up or change position first before they make it public.

places they have to post positions is in government jobs. Otherwise, a company can do what they want, unless it is unionized and they have certain rules they have to follow, but that generally is not the case with promotions. Even though government jobs have to post, most of them already have somebody picked so posting is just a formality.

My old QC leader just got promoted to the Audit team and she told me about the process. The Audit team only hires the cream of the crop QCs.

Wrong! I don't work for MM but I am an experienced MT who was placed in a QA position when my facility outsourced. I "can" do it all, and often do as I am still asked to transcribe. I love to teach, but I also love to transcribe. I am guessing that the QA and auditing staff at MM could still transcribe in a pinch, and are probably asked to cover in certain situations. Why not move into other positions when the opportunity is there? There is nothing wrong with wanting to do other things, especially if the pay is better.

I'm an SHDA formerly known as an MME/QAS and I do it all, QA, editing, and transcription, bouncing around on anywhere from 75 to 100 accts. I personally know an auditor for the company and she said they offered her that position when they didn't need as many QCs and she considered it a step down, not up, but as many of us are, she's grateful to have a job in this tough economy. I count my blessings every day.

It's obvious you don't work at MModal. They got rid of the QA position years ago. Right now they are called SHDAs. They do QA, transcription and editing and everything is paid by the line. An SHDA leaves feedback on corrections but do not score the reports. We are talking about a separate auditing team. Instead of filling in blanks and doing full reviews on work sent by the HDS, they pick out work already sent to the client and check if the employee is meeting quality requirements at 99.6%.

The TSM and QC person I've worked with forEVVVVER in the west is gone, both of them being moved up into new positions, and dividing their accounts and the entire team of MTs/MMEs has been disassembled and moved to other areas. Just read the MQ Central news about the pilot program for a new position called Region Team Lead (RTL). I'm already confused enough, I don't need a new acronym. They said the CTL would now be doing 100% QA and transcription. It didn't really specify who will be doing PTO requests, etc. (unless I overlooked it) I'm glad I already requested Christmas off and it was granted! Thanks CTL! I'll miss you! ...

stating too many reports being sent in with blanks. Need to send these to QA/MME/whatever they're called now. Why would we do this and get paid even less for the most horrible dictators, the worst sound quality, nothing in repository to help, being in the cesspool, yadda, yadda, yadda.
