Interviewing with Softscript.....what's the SCOOP! TIA!

Started out as a wonderful company to work for and then quickly went downhill. QA that nitpick and really no significant amount of work since September, and I had 4 big accounts. At first, it was blamed on Labor Day. Now I'm not sure what the excuse is. Also, no one in management is on the same page. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

when told "well, this is the higher industry standard" Don't think so, "our base is 8 cents a line" Nope, and now the paycheck thing, no work, low on work.

Plus, there were too many almost back-to-back job ad postings. I'm sure there were plenty sending resumes, pay too low.

Now it is for the second time in very recent time the pathology position.

I couldn't agree more with the person who posted about Softscript! I was hired and promised a lot of work. It was great at first. The first week I was there, they were offering a 2 cents per line incentive and I took advantage of it. I was released from QA quickly, but anything you send to QA is nitpicked completely! I had to send multiple emails to QA complaining of them deleting words that were dictated in my reports! By September, the work slowly trickled down to low and then nothing. There were some days I had 2 reports for my whole shift and some days I had none! At first, we were told this was Labor Day and it's always low this time of year and it should pick up. I worked for 2 other big companies and they were never this low, not even around the big holidays, like Christmas! I have found a job elsewhere and am leaving them behind!

I'm interviewing tomorrow morning with Amphion. Even after all of these years in the MT business, I admit that while I'm excited, I'm also a bit nervous. Has anyone else interviewed with Amphion recently and can clue me in on what to expect? I was told the interview process would take about 30 minutes but no other details. Logged on and saw a recent post from someone saying they have an upcoming interview with Webmedx and Medquist and are wondering which is the best company. My jaw just dropped. Didn't Webmedx just lay off MTs? Do I not read post after post about no work at Webmedx? Whats up with that? I recently joined Softscript and am so glad I did. This story has been popping up in the news lately, and I find it very distressing! How low will a company stoop to find a way to practice hiring discrimination? Imagine yourself interviewing in an office or on the phone, and they ask if you use Facebook, Twitter, etc., and request you to hand over your password! Would you do it? I sure hope not! Most likely I would lose my cool and laugh in their faces, but still no way would I ever do that. WHAT an invasion ...

Got a call from Axolotl today about interviewing. Have heard good things in the past, but saw they were just acquired by another company. Any current employees with advice? Pay rates/platform? Is it straight MT or do they have VR also? Affordable benefits? Would appreciate any information. Comfortable(ish) at current job, would hate to leave and then have transcription phased out or pay cut. Thanks in advance for any info! ...

Good news and bad news. I just got off the phone with Mr. Young. He specializes in cases like mine, but only from an unemployment point-of-view, not class-action suits. He also charges $3500 to take on an individual unemployment case (sheesh might as well take my first-born). This is an except of an email that I received from the CEO of the company today. This was after I sent an email last week and things were "misconstrued" on their part. After reading this, I am of the opinion that while yes, they offer straight transcription at a "decent rate" by today's standards, it also explains to me why I was tearing my hair out on the dictators I had. How long after end of pay period does Softscript usually pay? I'm fairly new and trying to adjust! It's the 8th and end of November pay hasn't posted yet - is it just me since I'm new?
