I haven't been scammed because I just clicked out of the information when I saw you had to send $165.00.
I'm not sure how I got their name but I think a company that I was applying to gave it to me so that I could test for them.
Do you know what companies are using Global Marketing. Diskwriter is one that I think is but not sure. I've recently applied to them and am trying to figure out if they are associated with them.
My husband got scammed recently and from now on if it says pay anything I'm not doing it.

NOW you come to this board to post AFTER the moderator put a sticky message on here warning of Global Marketing. Sometimes I see how some people shell out money then they want to come here and complain..."oh no, i was scammed" Come on people, WISE UP!!!!! How LONG have you been doing MT and using your computer to RESEARCH!!!???
You should NEVER pay ANY MONEY to get - a job.

This applies to ALL types of jobs, not just MT.
When you go to a temp agency to apply for jobs, do they make you pay them to find you work?
NO!!!
You NEVER, EVER, EVER pay anyone so that YOU can work.
Please beware of this company. They are literally preying on medical transcriptionists who are having a difficult time finding and keeping a good job (which I think is happening more and more to people who have been doing this for a long time). Anyway, I received an e-mail from them after 9:00 p.m. this evening, a phone call from them (which I didn't answer) and then an e-mail following the phone call. So we have blocked them. They want a fee from MTs, and they will ...
A company called Global Marketing Specialist Group has been trying to post ads repeatedly. They are NOT an MTSO company. They want you to pay $165 for a "background check" and then they will give you a list of potential employers or clients.
They are trying to post more ads using alternative e-mail addresses such as gmsgtranscription@. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. They are not being up front with you and are simply trying to make money from you. You should NEVER pay to work ...
I was asked by the recruiter to test for them, but I am not sure I want to waste my time. Can someone email me personally and give me some insight into this company.
Do they pay on time? Can I make line count? how is QA? Do they hold checks? etc?
Thanks ...
I have a sinking feeling that I have beened scammed by a transcription company. Anyone else out there feel the same way? I have worked the necessary 6 weeks (sounded fishy to me from the start) before getting my first paycheck. I have done exceptional work for a great doctor. I have yet to see any money. I really like this job, but am scared that I have been taken for a ride. I pray that this is not the case. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ava ...
There should be a warning out there about this company! I read the reviews and I thought, well they must have gotten their act together by now. Apparently not.....I have worked for them for 3 months and have only been paid once and that was for 1 week......I really needed the job and really need the money......I feel like an idiot...what they do not know is my daughter is an attorney in L.A. and she works for the District Attorney there.... ...
Has anyone applied with accuray.com? I interviewed with an Anthony but he gave a gmail address and wanted me to download yahoo messenger to conduct the interview. On the computer equipment he said they would pay part of it but wants a fairly huge downpayment sent either Moneygram or Western Union, so pretty skeptical of that. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. ...
I am disparate for work so I sent my info/paperwork to a company Friday so that I can start training today and they have not contacted me over the weekend or today. I have called them and emailed them and have not gotten a reply either way. I am worried. Should I assume they are ruining me? Or are they caught in that awful snowstorm and have no electric and cannot contact me even by cell phone? I don't buy that excuse. What should I do at this point?  ...
I will appreciate any marketing tips anyone can share. I'm a small MTSO and recently lost a client not due to EMR but the client went bankrupt and still owes me some invoices. I've tried cold calling which worked a few years back but nowadays it doesn't seem to work anymore. Thanks in advance. :) ...
Just thought I would share an observation. Someone was talking to me about a job in sales, network marketing. The big complaint that I initially had against network marketing was based on what I had heard for many years, that it is like a pyramid setup where the guy at the top makes the most money. However, it turns out that with network marketing the guy at the top makes between 1% and 5%, where my profit on my own sales is between 25% and 50%.
In contrast, with MT work, I get less than ...
Doing research on how to get this woman to stop stealing from her MTs, I called the Bexar County Sheriff's Office in San Antonio, TX. If you are not getting your money go directly to your local Sheriff's Office and file a Sheriff's Report there. Your County Sheriff will forward the complaint/report on to Bexar County. There they will bring theft charges against this crooked woman who likes padding her own bank account with her MTs hard-earned wages! ...
Please don't ask me to read the board. I have. I just need a straight, honest answer and no bashing. I need to know if a cpl line rate is fair for QA. You have to send feedback, have some MTs on full edit, etc. I just don't see making any money, but I would like to hear from others who may be doing the same thing. Thanks a bunch!! ...
I know to use numbers instead of spelling them out but in a case like:
"This is one situation where I would refer to a specialist"
Would I use the number 1 or spell it out? Thanks!

I graduated as a medical transcription, but after some confusion, I found out I'm really a "Medical Language Specialist"? Right? Is there a difference? I know about Medical Language Editors, but this is a new one on me. Is that the key to job searching? ...
The job posting on the job seeker's board sounds fishy to me. It says "no phone calls, please" but there's no phone number or company name even listed! I bet it's one of those scammers that want us to give THEM money, and then they'll let us work for them. ...
Hello, I am currently a HDS student and have a few questions about what happens after post graduation.
What is the lowest, medium, and highest pay that an HDS gets a week, month and year for Nuance?

A job opening posted for Pediatric Transcriptionist and states must obtain Pediatric Care Specialist certification, company paid training. Does anyone have this? How does one obtain this certification and where? Thanks for any information! ...
Ahima certainly gives it a different spin than MT, and an article at Study.com lists desired or common requirements as associate's or bachelor's degree, with nursing, HIM, or health information technology, and medical coding expertise.
So where does Nuance get off expecting "lowly" MTs to do this stuff, with 100% flawless accuracy, on lowly MT pay having to Google everything? I mean, they do not even pay us enough to be "lowly" MTs, and yet expect us to Google and verify that do ...
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has replied to the ad, worked for the company, or knows anyone who has. I wouldn't mind scheduling patients from home. Just wondering if they are good to work for, what the pay is like, etc. Anybody have any info? ...
I am sure these are closely guarded as they would let MTs actually communicate with each other..and that would be a no no.. MTs might actually band together ...
I just had an awful reply from Global TN regarding my resume. I have 20 years' experience. I actually have an Associate's degree in Transcription (way back in 1989) and their response was that I was not really qualified. They said because I do not type acute care (which I do?), have only typed for 3-4 years (clearly not true) and I do not own a C-phone. I listed my DAC digital system on the resume. Wouldn't someone in the transcription business know t ...
