They never tell us anything until they read these boards and see how unhappy everyone is. Then an email gets sent out about how wonderful things are and how TT is growing and new things are happening. Hey, instead of hiring new people for that "new" acute care hospital, put me on it! I would love to have 8 hours of work in a day! Doesn't that make sense?!?!?! The email upset me because instead of saying we are required to pay you for training, I was hoping it would say, yes we would love to pay you because we appreciate each and every one of you.

That was an epic fail. There was no way they could get away with not paying us. Though, they certainly tried to get away with it! Now we get the voice from the top telling us that "we are required" to compensated nonsalaried employees for training. They don't want to, but they are "required" to. Oh, yeah, and training has to be done during the scheduled shift. Right.

Don't bother to mention the previous communication about not being paid for mandatory training. Ha! Not even a faint smoke screen claiming a miscommunication.

Because there was no mea culpa for the previous emails, the unwritten message is, "We would have screwed you if we could have gotten away with it."

how much they appreciate us. Did you bother reading the email? They are not paying us what they are "required" to pay but are paying more. Give them a break, please!

I dont love everything this company does, but I do feel that they really do care about their employees. They dont offshore. They are definitely the best of the bunch.

Can you give them a slight break once in a while?

I know the VR rate is industry standard, but it stinks. Today I make about half what I made when I started with TT. That I'm still there is more than giving them a break. But, I think I've reached MY breaking point!

I told my husband how this stuff works--he has a job in corporate ****, which certainly has its drawbacks, but his pay has not been cut in half and he does not have to work 7 days a week now. He is not in danger of losing paid time off, etc., if he does not make a certain "line count" which he has been set up by his company to not make unless he does work 7 days a week. He said, "that's slavery." kind of says it all.

Their first email said they are not paying us. So you enjoy working for free? Then they probably came on these boards and saw that people contacted labor and board departments so they sent out an email basically saying, oh okay because we are legally required to pay you I guess we will. So you think that's fair? You think that's loyalty on their part? You think that is treating us good? Ha

Telling people to leave when things are unjust? Looks like you fit the pattern of a person who reeps the benefits of those who fight for justice. We are just trying to make a LIVING. To say nobody will be missed...excuse me. I have trained a lot of MTs in my day and I appreciated the HARD work that goes into it and never ever wanted to see one MT leave. It takes a lot to make a good MT. Training and speed don't come easy. Replaced you say? And then for how long before the new batch find out?

As an MT for another company, I tell those unhappy at my company to do the same thing - leave.

It has nothing to do with being a 'suit' or 'management' but plain and simple: If you don't like where you are, move.

Looks like paranoia on the part of anyone to make an assumption that someone's contrary opinion makes them management.

It's not an easy decision to leave a company, BUT, every single time I have finally left a company, I am always happier. Old doors...... Some of the companies I have worked are looked back on as "the dark days" and "never ever again."

I have been waiting for someone to come and say "if you don't like it, leave." It occurred to me last evening that of course that hasn't happened yet because it's a weekend. I'm sure there will be repercussions in the morning when the management team comes in.

Come on TT, listen to your MTs. Again and again, issues are taken up on this board publicly and then there is action or an explanation from the company. For now it may seem like there is a whole plethora of eager MTs out there, but that won't last.

Your employees have been asking for communication for a couple weeks now. If it is as slow as they say, it seems like someone could be picking up the phone and getting/giving some feedback instead of responding again only after several employees get seriously upset and speak out on a public forum.

Just something to consider.

Your subject line says it all....spoken like a true manager. You are absolutely right, no MT will be missed because there are others standing in line.
I did leave, I know I am not missed and the sad thing of it is, Ms. Manager, TT used to be a good place to work. It is the attitude that we won't be missed, easily replaceable, and that we will put up with the stuff you are trying to pull is what gives you the attitude.
There has been no work there for months and sorry, but there ain't no other way to sugar coat "no work." It is what it is. And to try to not pay people for training and expecting 2 timesheets is totally ridiculous.
You don't need to tell us we won't be missed, it shows in the treatment.

Managment has to take Constructive Critisizm. The complaints are justified, yet there are no meetings to voice them at other than this board. "Don't like it leave" is pretty illiterate. We are just looking for justice with nobody to back us up. Nobody wants to be unemployed, we are just trying to fight to keep from being abused. Like most agree is that TT was once good, well taking the people for granted who have made your good name, and not seeing the error of your ways doesn't mean we should just turn the other cheek either. So if we have to fight to keep it good and even make it better, sobeit. Easier to just give up and leave and not care and let the next person fight. The fighters are the ones who give Justice for All..even TTecher!

The TSM and QC person I've worked with forEVVVVER in the west is gone, both of them being moved up into new positions, and dividing their accounts and the entire team of MTs/MMEs has been disassembled and moved to other areas.  I am *terribly* sad about this because they were both absolutely amazing to work for, but I'm glad that I'll be staying in the Western region. Anyone know if we are still supposed to be calling the workflow team when there is no work available?  It's not listed under the work availability policy as something you need to do, and then when you call, you are put on hold and it states the hours are "4 p.m. to 9:30 a.m."  Is this Eastern Time, Central Time, Pacific Time???  Frustrating to say the least. ...
