I’ve seen where people are being scammed on Indeed and some other places. They get your email address and somehow know who you’ve applied to and then email with a job offer and ask for personal info. This may also happen on other job boards.
Is this company offering you equipment? That’s the only reason I could see them wanting to do a credit check. If not, then I’d run. Sometimes if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
