The PTO does sound nice. I think these companies know exactly how to play the game with their job applicants. They have to entice people somehow to come work for them because they know the 4 cpl just isn't enough. At 4 cpl, my cat wouldn't even jump at that!! So they offer benefits like PTO, which sounds great. However, once hired and down the line, would time off be approved easily or would they make it impossible to even use it. And would unused hours carry over into a new year or be lost?
There's also a whole lot to consider over the quality of the work you'd be dealing with and the platform used. That alone has been a deal breaker for a lot of MTs!
In your present work situation, can you work more hours if you want to? If so, maybe you could sock away the extra earned from that in a separate account to use whenever you need time off. You'd be way ahead of their PTO payout at minimum wage with your present far better pay.
