Completely ignoring people when they ask you when they can expect a check is not okay. If someone had to go get a payday loan to try to squeak by until their next deposit, they are going to have trouble since no one will give an answer as to when that deposit will be there. At this point, it seems like there is a very real threat that paychecks could cease coming any day. Then you're stuck with a high interest payday loan and no way to pay it back. It sounds like you were a good employer who kept your employees informed. The uncertainty and stress for her employees increases daily due to a lack of communication.
