You might want to check and see as well if there are assistance programs for assistance with paying your utility bills. I know here in Illinois, there is I believe IHEAP, which provides assistance during certain times of the year with paying utilities. Another thing you might want to look into is applying for food stamps. In certain areas, you can qualify for internet for $10 a month if you are on food stamps.
