30 years and make less now than I did in the 1990s, not due to retirees but changing industry standard line counting from gross line to 65 w/spaces, outsourcing, EMR, VR, and SR! The real source of saturation are the "matchback" MTs who fell for the "work at home and make $30,000 a year while taking care of your house and kids" The MTSOs started hiring those newbies at lower rates, fed them the easy work, and assigned the "hard" stuff to the experienced MTs who now had to work twice as hard for less pay.
