the line rates will NEVER increase until there is a demand for MTs. This is NOT going to happen until some leave the field or schools stop selling the product as a lucrative stay-at-home mom job.

With a market flooded with experienced MTs, young and old, there will never be increased line rates.

The vast majority of this field IS retired and older MTs right now, so it only makes common sense that if they were forced to retire, as in other industries, there would be more of a demand for MTs and the line rates would increase due to the demand.

This can't and won't happen, however, so the line rates will continue to stagnate until there is a demand. Just common economics; no need to get offended.

This is not rocket science. Retired, semi-retired MTs are offended but this is just common sense.
