the fact that the work their MTs do on VA contracts has to be compensated according to SCA rules. Because so many MTs work on BOTH SCA and nonSCA contracts, Alpha claims they cannot explain how pay is calculated. It actually can be explained by and to anyone with a 3rd grade education. Up until a few days ago, though, most of their MTs could not calculate their own pay because no one at Alpha explained the formula. Now it seems like Alpha might be coming around because someone has filed a complaint with the DOL. SCA rules say the MT has to be compensated a specific rate per HOUR. That has nothing to do with the line rate they get for nonSCA contracts.
