If a company was paying by location of an MT, they could bid on all the contracts for hospitals located in counties with a very high wage grade and then hire MTs who reside in counties where there is a very low wage grade. Since the bids on contracts for hospitals in counties with a very high wage grade would necessarily mean the bids were higher than contracts for hospitals in counties with a very low wage grade, that would mean a LOT more money in the contractor's pocket, ESPECIALLY if they were paying according to the wage grade for their MTs' locations and especially if their MTs were residing in counties with relatively low wage grades.
Gee, that sounds like an unfair business practice if other companies with VA contracts (like AP) are paying their MTs according to the county in which the hospital is located.
It sounds so dirty, doesn't it?
