Just so you know, I am in the process of getting my things ready to do a chapter 7. Prebankruptcy, I was making about 35K a year. However, my company went on a hiring frenzy, as they were wont to do from time to time, even though there was no work(!) and this year I made about 7K with them. I will see the bankruptcy lawyer this week. I am just mortified. I have always been able to pay my bills. Not now.
