only 1 space between words, formula for counting lines makes it hard to get good count-just left after a month, not worth it. Line count between ichart and ex-editor varies greatly. They run out of work 1 day, then beg for extra next day. If you have to "flex" because out of work, you have to make it up. I work more than 1 job so wasn't possible to make it up with the frequency of having no work that was there. Not bad people to work for, just a lot of BS for not much money, in my opinion.

Operates like Nuance in many respects. In fact, added a new work type with one account and the directions for how to transcribe it came directly from e-mail forwarded from someone in Nuance at their Massachusetts address--suspicious that this company is a Nuance entity. Overhires; runs out of work regularly; harassed to work days off and before and after shifts when work finally available-like you don't have a life; suspicious line count tallying, told to use MT Monitor and they raved about it on MT Monitor website in testimonials and then suddenly don't use it because it is not accurate??? WTH! MT Monitor always had higher line counts than the Ichart they want to pay by now except evidently when they first rolled it out--so never sure if pay is accurate, just have to accept it.

I once accidentally was copied on an email that wasn't intended for my eyes. I had questioned why at least 200 reports had disappeared from the cue moments before I began my shift. There were ensuing emails between my managers that I was inadvertently included on, and one mentioned Transcend had gone in and taken those missing jobs.

And we all know what happened to Transcend...This was just a few months (or less) before the Nuance/Transcend buyout was announced.

And agree with you about having to chase work, not being allowed to flex but having to sit there without pay and keep checking back for work, etc. At the of my employment, I was basically working 18 or more hours a day chasing work, only to get enough lines per pay period to pay for my insurance. It hadn't started out that way, though. It was a great place with ample work when I had started there a couple of years earlier.

I looked but do not really find much current info for this company. They "seem" pretty liget with basic line requirements, decent pay for VR, good benefits, ect. It isn't easy to get off some of the spam and phone call lists when you click for more information about some of these courses. Lately, I have been afraid to send anything in for correction, particularly 1 person, who dissects my reports down to crossing my Ts and dotting my Is. I started a new thread because I noticed your question about TransTech waaaay down at the bottom of the page and with no responses yet, so here goes... In my personal experience, nothing has changed from the older posts. Even today, I have 4 accounts and I'm currently waiting for work to come into my queue.
