Info on TransTech Medical Solutions - Need an out

Can anyone give me info, good or bad, on TransTech Medical Solutions from Houston, Texas? I just took their test and hope to hear from them soon. Do they run out of work? Pay rate? Anything else? Thanks for any info you can give.

I worked for them for a while and they were bought out by iMedX back in March. I left shortly after and never looked back. Not sure I would want to work for a company with that big of an overseas presence even though they have stated that nothing would change. I'd wait until the end of the year before I would even think of working for them. Their accounts dropped like flies before the buyout and they used to run out of work all the time when I was there. Buyer beware!

I also left right after the IMedX buyout in March. I was constantly running out of work before the buyout was announced, so I knew something wasn't right because it never used to be like that before. I had 3 accounts that had previously always had a pretty steady workflow, but for about 2-3 months before the buyout was announced, I was constantly sitting waiting for work and had nothing on all 3 of my accounts. I was constantly chasing work on my days off to try and make up for it. As soon as the buyout was announced, I was out of there so fast. I refuse to have any affiliation with a company who sends our jobs overseas. I went through one of these buyouts about 8 years ago, when the company I was working for at the time was also bought out by a major player in off-shoring to India. I made the mistake back then of hanging on too long, thinking that things would be okay, but obviously they weren't. I refuse to go through something like that again. I wouldn't even waste any time testing with them.

I quit when they announced that they had 'merged' as opposed to sold out and got another job, but the other job was worse so I went back with fingers crossed, so far they are holding good on the promise of minimal change (though there are more changes than they first said). That said, work has been abundant and it's still good for now, so don't write them off just yet, at least give it a shot.

They buy out companies and promise nothing will change but as soon as they get their crummy Turboflow VR program running, everything goes to it and then it goes to India. They love to send emails to employees announcing a new VP of some department but could care less about their employees who do the real work.

To make sure you have a fallback plan just in case. I had worked for TT for a while and when I first started, I absolutely loved the company and the accounts. Then all the accounts started dropping off in 2013. Before that, if we lost an account, it basically got replaced within a few months. I started noticing in 2013 that they were dropping quickly and nothing new coming in. If not for the merge with iMedX, I probably would have stuck it out, but I lost my trust in TT when after years of reading on this board how they would NEVER sell out to an overseas company, they did just that. Just have a backup plan is all I can say. Most of the posts I have read on here say that the average time for the bottom to fall out with iMedX is about 6 months, which is why I said the end of the year would be a good time to check on them again. They did not "merge". They were bought out. You have to become an iMedX employee with their rules. Had to fill out all new paperwork with IDs and applicant information. If they merged, why didn't they just get our info from TT and use it? It just didn't sit right with me.

Just found out my company of a year, TransTech in Houston, TX, is merging with iMedX. I've been liking TransTech. Plenty of work for the most part, decent pay as an employee. Not crazy about the Fluency platform, but I can deal with it. Anyway, just got email stating that not much is going to change despite merger.
