Got my official termination letter. - sm

I was laid off last Friday. Letter came today confirming discussion by phone that my part time position was eliminated and shipping labels will be sent.

I can't tell you how nice it has been to not be an employee for this company. It angers me to read posts of whatever they are now doing about NJA situation. It's hard to believe we have had to put up with these kind of antics for so long. It's stressful to read them even as a former employee! But I feel alive now. No more "saving the line count" as my friend and I have said for years. No more worrying if there's work, or more recently, wishing for no work just to avoid having to deal with the stress of this job. I start school on Monday with TAA benefits.

I hope it works out for everyone, whatever way is best for your personal situation.

need to drop to PT. Then you will get laid off probably. If you already are PT, just be patient...chances are you will soon get laid off. They aren't going to lay everyone off at once....prob doesn't look good for them plus they would want to avoid that notice issue for mass layoffs....just sayin

Wow, that was really quick how you got started with TAA - is it really that easy - if you don't mind me asking, what state are you in? Haven't gotten laid off yet, but hope to do the same - I'm in Texas, so hope it really is that easy!!

I had actually started the process as an employee. It took a little longer because I was denied, however, it was possible with persistence and questioning when I was told no (since I had heard it was possible, I kept at it). I actually found out I was officially approved the same day I was laid off. If you have taken a pay cut, I would suggest getting the process started. I was actually in school since last year, and they will take over the payments for my tuition and books (among other things I think).

A few weeks ago, for no reason that I can find, I cannot get the first letter of a sentence to be in all caps automatically, (unless I do it manually.) The same for the letter " I " by itself when typed. It was always automatic and now all of a sudden it is doing this and I cannot figure out how to change it back. Has anybody else had this problem, if so, how did you fix it? Thanks, appreciate the help ...

My QA score has always run about 12% (SS requires 8% or less to QA) since i started. My trainer told me I had a very difficult account and not to worry. Since then they hired a new producion manager and the percent to QA has apparently become an issue.
